I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean, which made my stay extremely comfortable. Great location close to Yala Safari. However, the highlight of the entire experience was the owner. She was incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with anything I needed. I would definitely recommend this place:)

The host is really friendly and nice. She met us and explained everything about the room, and gave us some fresh pineapple juice as a welcome drink. The room itself was clean and comfortable with a nice huge balcony. The price meets the quality. :)

Host arranged safari and provided packed meals for Safari. She was very accommodating and provided home cooked meal for toddler. We could not spend much time in property since our stay was short in Yala but the location is beautiful.

It's a very quiet area, a bit away from the business of the city. Exceptionally welcoming host, she helped us to organize safaris and food delivery and was always available within a few minutes to reply. The big room with a private balcony was perfect to relax after safaris.

It’s a great location right on the river. Very modern and spacious with comfortable beds and air con that works. The owner is charming and arranged a boat trip on Tissa Lake ,this is a must do ,so worth arriving early .The wildlife was amazing including numerous birds ,bats and a crocodile 🐊 Pleasant stroll into town . Good breakfast and dinner readily available from a local restaurant who do delivery.

Nice clean home stay directly on the river. If you like, you can have a bath in the river. Spacious room with comfortable beds and good AC (that doesn’t blow on you directly when you sleep). Large bathroom with good shower. Miti is a nice friendly host who takes good care of her guests. Food delivery from near by restaurant possible, but there are also many other options in the area.

The place was beautiful, river facing and quiet. It's close to the bus stand and city center. If you plan on doing a safari at Yala National Park, the place you book your safari with will come and pick you up from the homestay. Mithila our host was so warm and welcoming and made sure we were looked after. The rooms are river facing- just cant get any better to be waking up to the sound of water flowing.

We had a fantastic experience at this hotel. Mithi, the host, was absolutely charming and incredibly helpful, ensuring excellent communication and a comfortable stay. We were welcomed with drinks, provided with packed breakfasts in reusable Tupperware for our early morning safaris, and received assistance with transfers and food delivery. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this place to everyone.

We had a really lovely stay with Mithila. In addition to helping us arrange a safari at Yala NP (which we highly recommend!) she also gave us a village tour around Tissa, and helped organise a sunset boat trip on Tissa lake (also great). Throughout our trip she was very communicative and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The meals at the homestay were very good, and she was even able to assist with some laundry. The accommodation itself is spacious, modern and has a lovely view over the river - and the location, while a few minutes from town, is very peaceful. We would definitely recommend staying here as a base to see Yala and explore the surrounding area.

Mithila and her husband are so friendly and their service is amazing. They prepared a take-away breakfast at 4am before our safari and the next day the breakfast on the lovely balcony with river view was great.

Everything was amazing! The host and her husband are the sweetest people you will meet and helped us all the time with recommendations of what to see and what to eat. They also organize safari tours, which was an absolute highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. The rooms were comfortable, home-y and extremely clean. The outdoor areas were also great with direct view on a passing river.
