Breakfast could have some single options, it would make it more inviting to guests to take breakfast if so. Guests keep in mind it is in the middle of nowhere so bring supplies - water, snacks. These are not issues just suggestions. I loved my stay here. Thank you.

The place is in the middle of nature, which is what I wanted. You can hear all the beautiful sounds as you nod off to sleep and wake as the peacocks call you. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and clean. The air con is an up to date modern system. The outdoor shower is beautiful and hot/cold. You can walk to the centre of Sigiriya or Habarano if you're up for it, a combination of some Jungle, local area, and main road in about an hour to 1 hour 15min. Or you can get a tuktuk of course (at the time of writing this it is about 1000 lkr one way with a local driver off the street.)

Perfect place to rest after a day of sightseeing. We loved the tranquility, and enjoyed being in the middle of nature. Beautiful swimming pool and view ! Food was also very good.

Food and services offered were quite expensive. We found the food quite basic but a bit overpriced and there are no options to eat nearby so you don’t have much of an option unless you have your own transport.

Nice rooms with aircon, hot showers, beautiful views, peaceful and lovely pool to cool down during the day.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The hotel is beautifully located in a peaceful, idyllic setting, and we loved seeing peacocks wandering through the garden. The service was outstanding, especially the seamless organization of a tuk-tuk to Lion’s Rock. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere, and the breakfast was delicious. The pool area is perfect for relaxing, and the chalets are beautifully designed with great attention to detail. The open-air bathroom was definitely a highlight! We highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

We stayed in the treehouse and this was really an experience. The treehouse is beautiful and the outside shower was the best!! Especially thanks to the people that worked there. They were so warm and friendly and helped us with everything. They even got us a cake for my boyfriend’s birthday! A perfect stay for in Sigiriya

We liked it all.

We loved the location of this place and booked it only by reading the reviews. Honestly I was little skeptical about it in the beginning but trust me this place is too good. It brings out the raw beauty of nature and the behaviour of the people was so so good.

Everything was great!

One of our favorite stays in Sri Lanka! Very beautiful modern and cute chalet with an outdoor shower, everyone takes fantastic care of you, they have a little restaurant and make the best cafe latte with fresh coconut milk!! The pool area is clean and you can completely wind down. They even let us hang out there during the day after the check out and we really appreciate the great hospitality! If you’re looking for a place full of serenity in beautiful nature with view of sigiriya rock, go here!

The room is amazing! Such a good view, very clean, comfortable bed, hot outdoor shower, good food, nice swimmingpool and the staff is very friendly! The owner organised all the tours I wanted and helped me out with my further travel plans. Super quiet and remote place.

Not a “didn’t like” but obviously be aware that for this value it isn’t a 5 star resort - doors creak and if you’re in a downstairs room you can hear all the water running from your upstairs neighbours. Everything was immaculate and comfortable though, and the team went out of their way to make us welcome. We were very sad to leave.

Incredibly peaceful, wonderfully welcoming hosts, delicious Sri Lankan curry. Just around the corner from a super 5 star star star property but at an absolute fraction of the cost and probably way more character! Big room with lots of hot water for “outdoor” shower (though don’t shower just after 4 other guests in the same block! Wait a few hours for the hot water to replenish then get it all for yourself!). Loved the chattering geckos in the room and the peacocks calling outside. And fresh mango juice from mangos from their own property :)

Very lovely and clean rooms. In the middle of nature so you do need transport to get to the city centre. However, the food at the chalet is also very good. Super friendly staff!

We loved everything! The location was wonderful with a good view of both rocks. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent and we enjoyed the pool at the end of each day. Thanks for looking after us so well!

Definitely recommend rock shade chalet, rooms were amazing, we were even upgraded our first evening. The staff were outstanding, they couldn’t do enough for us. They ordered tuk tuks and transport, arranged trips and had many recommendations. Breakfast was great and the evening meal we ate at the restaurant was our favourite of our trip. We stayed over new year and the staff included us in their traditional Sri Lankan celebrations.
