My stay at Serenity Hill Oasis was absolutely wonderful! From the very first moment, I was captivated by the stunning view from my room—enjoying my morning coffee on the balcony with such a breathtaking landscape was pure bliss. The breakfast was delicious, fresh, and varied, making every morning a delight. A special mention goes to the owner, who is incredibly kind and helpful, ensuring that every guest feels truly taken care of. This place has a unique charm, and I would love to return. We found the proprietor was helpful and flexible, transferring us to a room with a view. However she complained about her staff, our driver and booking.com which she insisted on sharing with use.

The view was wonderful and it was serene (not all the rooms have a view so you need to be careful which room you book). The room was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. The staff were helpful and friendly. Plentiful and fresh breakfast at a table looking at the view.

The location was slightly further out from the centre of Kandy than we had thought.

Some people might find it a little far outside Kandy,( 15 - 20 mins), but we had no problem and taxis are very cheap

Lovely accommodation furnished and decorated to a very high standard. Incredible views over the surrounding countryside and river. Very attentive and lovely staff. Amazing breakfast - you don't need to eat for the remainder of the day!! Very comfortable bed and room.

We arrived very late at night but the hostess had arranged a very warm and comfortable welcome for us . In the morning we were given a hearty breakfast and also provided us with a delicious goody bag to take away with us. We found tge hostess delightful and she went out of tge way to keep us comfortable. The location has some beautiful views

My favourite place that I have stayed in so far in my journey around Sri Lanka. A beautiful building up in the hills with amazing views from the balcony and just a very short tuk tuk journey away. The breakfast is amazing and healthy, there was so much that I saved some for my lunch. If you like hiking, there is a nice peaceful walk to help you walk off some of the breakfast before exploring Kandy. The owner was also very helpful in offering advice during my stay

We hadn’t realised that the property was so distant from restaurants/ cafes. The hot water pressure in the shower was very weak.

A very helpful staff member organised a food delivery for us, in the evening. We left at 7am and the owner provided an excellent breakfast for us to takeaway.

All was good. Though the bed was a little too firm for me. It was a beautiful big King bed.

It's a nice area, not too far from KCC. Spectacular views as the accommodation is up on a hill. Breakfasts were generous and catering to the fussiest of eaters. The host was very friendly and happy to help with any queries.

- Ride to town is about 15-20 minutes so location is not exactly in “downtown” + it’s a challenge to call a taxi on demand, as drivers cancel and you have to wait a while; but pre-booking for a specific time on PickMe worked fine - Remember to check Property Policy as it only accepts cash (although there is now a card terminal which sometimes works)

- Fantastic views of Kandy and the surrounding hills, picturesque and Instagram ready - Polite, responsive and helpful host and staff - We received a tasty and sizable breakfast to go for our early morning full day tour (pancakes!) and a very nice breakfast served just for us the next morning - Good wi-fi

The hotel is a bit far from the city center and you need a transport for access. This comes with a great mountain and river review as well as a peaceful environment. The building itself was very special, authentic. The rooms were big and very clean. The staff was amazing, especially the lady who is taking care of the facility. Upon our arrival they offered us a great tea and traditional Sri Lankan toast. The breakfast was really special and delicious. We definitely suggest this place to stay.

Nothing. It's just that you have to take a tuk-tuk to town by night (and guide the drivers, they don't know the place!) But it's worth, totally worth it!

I suddenly had no room for the night, it was full booked everywhere and the lady from the hotel welcomed me in the most friendly way. Wonderful view from the room, clean everything, all comfort and delicious breakfast. Very good atmosphere in this hotel, you feel it in the air... And for solo travellers: absolutely safe!

Exceptional Hospitality at Serenity Hill Oasis I had a one-night stay at Serenity Hill Oasis in Kandy, and I was thoroughly impressed by Jayantha’s exceptional hospitality. When I needed to rearrange my booking at the last minute, she was incredibly understanding and flexible. Despite it being late, she graciously adjusted the booking to a single night, even though she could have easily enforced the original two-night reservation. Jayantha went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Her support and kindness truly made a difference, and I’m so grateful for her fairness and dedication to her guests.

Serenity Hill was a real oasis away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy. High on a hill, we had views of the mountains and the river from our balcony, and it was a great spot to watch the sunrise. The hosts were kind and very helpful and the breakfasts were amazing! We packed some for lunch which kept us going as we wandered the city. Great place to stay.

We liked everything about the place. Location is very close to the centre if you take tuk tuk. Room is absolutely beautiful, the view is stunning, at the end we wanted to stay a couple of days more. Brekfast is delicious, we couldnt breathe because we wanted to try everything. Service on the top. The manager and the staff is very kind, helpful, only the best to say. We recommend everyone to stay at this beautiful place.
