Amazing maintained property. The host was amazing and had really made our stay memorable. If you're in sigriya, you should definitely stay here.

Woke up to a few lizards/geckos that had got in and some large bugs near the door. Considering how clean the room was for the majority of the stay, we were aware of a little gap under the door. The owner was incredibly accommodating, cleaned the room for us that morning and took on the feedback regarding the little gap.

Staff were truly lovely, welcome drink on arrival, took our luggage to the room. The room was a great size, exceptionally clean and it was evident that steps were taken to ensure a clean environment considering you are in a jungle setting. The bed was clean and comfortable. Hot water in the bathroom, air con, a fridge, water and tea making facilities in the room. Multiple sockets around the room for different plugs. Lovely dinner served in their restaurant and we were given a packed lunch in place of breakfast for our early departure. Prior to sleeping - a few mosquitoes but nothing crazy. Overall, we enjoyed our stay albeit a little anxious upon waking up, but owner was reassuring and made us feel comfortable. The surroundings and the design of the room was modern and we were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was and the steps taken to ensure this.

Not really, the AC was quiet, we had a ceiling fan, shower is big..

The place is really nice and the owner is very welcoming. He was available and gave great insight on what activities we should do. He spotted our traveler profile and advised us accordingly. At the hotel, you can grab some bikes and there is a cool trail around the nearby lake... The room was clean, bigger than expected, and comfortable. The food was good and they bake their berad onsite etc... You can't go wrong there.

This is a really great place to stay in Sigiriya. It's close to everywhere, great care (like from mom), and very nice and helpful staff.

Under new owner since 1 year ago. Great staff/ food and the use of their free bicycles to explore the baked mud roads outside Sigiriya is a must (then when hopelessly lost use google maps to navigate your way back!)

Could not fault a thing.

Loved absolutely everything! Location near the centre and near the local village, wonderful bliss, beautiful garden, in the middle of unspoiled nature. Owner and staff could not be more kind, attentive and went over and beyond expectations to make us feel welcome - gave good advice on our overall plans in Sri Lanka, showed around, organized transportation, visit to local village etc. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and just beautiful with everything you need - from European adapter to mosquito repellent. Food and drinks just lovely with both local and western options. Really 10 is not enough to rate this experience!

Liked everything.... nothing to dislike

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Sigiriya Cottage in Sigiriya, Sri Lanka, and it was truly a delightful experience. The accommodation was immaculate, with clean and well-maintained rooms that provided a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring. The host was incredibly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was enjoyable. They were attentive to my needs and always ready to assist with any requests or questions I had, making me feel valued as a guest. One important tip for future visitors: I highly recommend dining at the hotel's restaurant during your stay. While there are restaurants outside the hotel, they might not cater to everyone's taste buds. The host at Sigiriya Cottage is more than willing to adjust the taste of the dishes to suit your preferences, ensuring a dining experience that is tailored to your liking. Overall, Sigiriya Cottage offers a wonderful combination of good food, a homely environment, accommodating hosts, and clean, comfortable rooms. There is nothing not to like

This place is not a hotel, it’s home. Sanjaya and Ruan will make you feel like home! This is a beautiful, very well maintained paradise in the middle of nature, with all the comfort, amazing people and great great food. It was by far the best stay in our whole trip in Sri Lanka and one of best ever after visiting 30 countries. People make the place. Make sure you come here because you will not regret it for sure!

It was a wonderful cottage in the nice, well-maintained tropical forest setting. The stuff all work so hard to hard to keep the garden clean and comfortable. The owner was very helpful to give us advise, and we had very good time there. After we paid more more than $500 for the famous Heritance Kandalama, we were so pleased to have totally different, but wonderful experience for $50 in this cottage. Rey close to both rocks. Highly recommend❗️

This place is awesome! Our room was clean, the bed was big and comfy. We felt very welcome from the first to the last moment of our stay. The location is great to explore the surrounding area like Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa (Taxi/Tuktuk). They offer bicycles for no costs, to get around. There are some small markets and a great coffee shop nearby (5 to 10 min walking). The restaurants-area is a little farer away. (20 to 30 min walking or take a Tuktuk 5 min). They also offer dinner at the sigiriya cottage, which was delicious. They even adapted to my diet restrictions (celiac/gluten free). The host helped us with all our questions regarding traveling through Sri Lanka.

This place is beautiful with a nice big garden. Its absolutly quiet and you can listen to all the birds. This place offers free bikes, don't miss the lake tour at sunset which is really a great nature experience and your own small Safari. The staff offers you great help and organizes everything you need for your stay or your further travels! Thank you.

Better to use your phone with a local sim card for internet access, wi-fi didn't work that great.

The owner and all his staff were very welcoming and did their best to accommodate us. We had a few things in mind that we wanted to do around the area, and they helped setup transportation which saved us a lot of time. The food was good and the room was clean with ample hot water for showers. Great value for the money and the owner really gives it his all to help out his guests.

The breakfasts were excellent and the owner and staff were exceptionally helpful. We were extremely happy with the tours they organised for us for a wildlife safari and also for a sunset climb to Pidurrangala Rock. They also gave us good tips for our ongoing trip. Best place we have stayed so far. 😆

Highly recommend! Surrounded by nature 24/24, impeccable service and managed by the best host. Sanji gave us awesome tips and we felt like home. Bikes are available at no cost to explore the surroundings. Rooms are very clean and comfy. Food is delicious.

The owner is a really nice and friendly man with a good Heart. He helped us with everything and organised Trips for a very fair price. Break-fast was great and the rooms are beautiful and Clean. Also the workers a very friendly. If you visit Sigirya you should stay at Sigirya cottage.

Everything was fine!

The Cottage is very comfortable and the garden in amazing! Also, it was very clean, had warm water in the shower, the staff was friendly and helpful, breakfast was yummy 😊 the furniture and the place itself seemed very new, we felt very happy to stay there. Also, the owner arranged a tuktuk driver for us to see the Pidurangala early in the morning, which was very helpful! A perfect place for discovering Sighirya and it's area, and perfect for chilling afterwards.

Lovely settings, big spacious modern room with fridge, kettle, tea ,coffee. Hairdryer air condiitioning and much more. Very big balcony. The room.is spotless, modern shower with excellent water pressure and lots of really hot water. Delicious food in the reataurant. The host arranged a scooter delivered to us ready for the morning and also arranged a safari. Nothing is too much for them. This is a real little hidden gem. What a shame we could not stay longer.
