His hospitality really made the experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay!

The garden and surrounding area can get a bit more attention. Would be nice to have a minibar in the bigger rooms. Bathroom can be much better and ay more modern.

We rented the room villa on top. Very comfortable and a nice pool. But the highlight of this place is Lalith the main person in charge of food and the place. Amazing guy who says no to nothing. The food he makes is also super good and tasty.

There was nothing not to like, but it would have been good if the beds had mosquito nets. (Though there weren't many mosquitoes around or in the apartment).

Great location. Very relaxing and peaceful. We rented some bikes from a place 3 mins walk away on the main road and had a great time exploring the area. The owner was very helpful and booked our onward travel arrangements. Lovely pool to cool off in. But the highlight was the building itself - very quirky log cabin vibes.

We were happy with our stay other than the missing blankets in cooler weather.

This home stay is great value. It’s by no means a posh space - it’s very basic but clean. We were there in the winter and they did not have blankets, but we did manage ok. The staff were extremely attentive and made a hot breakfast that was nutritious.

The bathroom was not so clean, lots of fungus and dirt. The tap is not fixed to the sink. The tables and other furniture could have been dusted. The wooden floor is cracking a lot, we didn’t hear much of footsteps but I can imagine the people below us could.

We had a very lovely stay. The location is beautiful and the pool is a nice extra. Around the property are a lot of restaurants but the breakfast at the resort(especially the egg hoppers) is great. Breakfast on top of the balcony in the morning was great. Although the staff cannot speak very good English, they were very helpful and did everything we requested.

My sister and I had an amazing stay here and couldn’t be happier with our experience. The highlight of our visit was definitely the owner, who was incredibly kind and welcoming. We had many great conversations with him and truly appreciated his warmth and hospitality. He made us feel right at home, and we are so grateful for everything he did to make our stay unforgettable. We highly recommend this place to everyone and will definitely come back if we have the chance!

We booked the villa on the first level with 2 bedrooms, it was built using wood and it was spacious. The owner and caretaker were responsive and helped to arrange our vehicle transport, dinner at the property and also trips to the cave and rock.

The owner of the Resort was very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The accommodation was good value, we stayed in the garden cabin which was nice although it will be fantastic once air conditioning is installed. The pool was relaxing and we enjoyed watching the monkeys in the trees. Sigiriya town is a short tuk tuk ride away and it was a convenient location to get up at 5am to walk up Lion Rock. I highly recommend Elegant Resort for your visit to Sigiriya.

The shower was cold, but later we found out that we could ask for this to be made hot.

We felt very welcome and had a good time. We had the cottage behind the pool which looked nice and it was nice that there were mosquito nets to keep the mosquitoes away.

The house is in a very relaxing location, inside the nature and you can really enjoy the pool after making the effort to go to the Lion Rock and Pidurangala. The rooms were perfect as the breakfast; the women who runs the kitchen is pure kindness, she made us take away breakfast at 4:30 AM before going to see the sunrise on the Lion Rock. The owner built this place by himself and he’s very kind and always available, we even had the pleasure to know his family! The little shy girl has a special smile!

What a great experience we had at Elegant!. The place is new and the pool is divine. It feels you are in the middle of nowhere. It is quite close to the city center, you can walk or take a tuktuk for a euro. The surroundings are really nice for walks as well. There are little shops and restaurants around the corner for whatever you might need. We had such a great time. They took care of us, the lady working there is such a nice lady always wanting to help. We loved this place so much and would go back, no doubt.

The staff of the property were not very accommodating, because of their lack of knowledge on the english language. This made our arrival to the property not great.

The little house was situated in a nice field which was a very relaxing surrounding. Also to have a dip in the pool after climbing the rocks of Sigiriya was very nice. The owner would be there every evening to help with any requests.
