Loved everything about the property but we booked the room with a private pool during a time it was a little chilly and we didn't get to use it so we should have done better research! Doesn't take away from our review of the hotel though just a good tip for future travellers to check the weather before deciding which room!

The views were incredible, you literally see both the rocks and have nature all around you. The food was the best we had in Sri Lanka and the staff went above and beyond. Special shout out to Sumit who was fantastic! The owners were so kind and lovely and it was just such a lovely experience. Would recommend to everyone and will absolutely be back!

It was quite noisy during the day with some work going on and I wanted a nap by the pool after a sunrise climb of the Lions Rock. Unfortunately the staff made quite a lot of noise shouting to each other. It was a bit remote and the breakfast wasn't as good as expected considering it's 5 star rating It was overpriced for what it was. It could do with better quality pillows.

The rooms are nice and spacious. The pool was lovely. The views of the rocks were great. Staff were welcoming & friendly.

Fantastic Hotel we stayed here while we climbed lions rock staff and management were absolutely fantastic. They accommodated us beyond all expectation. We had dinner at the restaurant the night and we had the Sri Lankan menu which was the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka. Our host Samantha was very knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean and great decor, we were lucky enough to have a plunge pool which added that extra experience

The hotel is in a secluded place, make sure you check in before nightfall. Expect animals to walk on the roof at night, we were spooked on the first night, then we found out it was Civets. Always have a flashlight with you.

The view on Pidurangala and Sigiriya rocks is spectacular! Having breakfast in the tree hut is an experience by itself. Wildlife around is superbe. A special positive note for the staff, who were very kind and helpful. We asked for certain arrangements and it was executed perfectly.

Nothing, everything was perfect

We loved everything about this place. The resort is a tranquil paradise, immersed in nature, facing the lion rock. The rooms are spacios, confortable and clean. The food was delicious. But what really made the difference is the staff, everyone was welcoming and caring. Samanta went above and beyond to make our stay special, arranging our safari, surprising us with breakfast on a lovely tree house on our last day; we had an amazing tine and we would highly recommend this hotel .

Room/Villa -lack of coffee machine -privacy which is very limited. Food -Breakfast would probably work better as a la carte or buffet. -Restaurant is very pricey. -Dining chairs were very uncomfortable.

We stayed for 2 nights in the villa with private pool. Property is very nice with amazing view of Pidurangala and Lion's rock. Room/Villa Rooms are nice and spacious, with also small seating area. Amenities were good, kettle is present. Food Breakfast was good, not buffet but choice of European style or Sri Lankan set menu. Food quality was very good Service Staff is very kind and attentive and service was at high level, we were impressed. Overall we had a great stay. The property could benefit from some spa offerings and perhaps rethinking a bit the restaurant/breakfast concept.

The best hotel during my trip to Sri Lanka, everything about is way above other hotels in a similar price range. The staff was excellent, helpful and provided great service, even helped us catch a gecko that managed to get into the room. The surroundings are stunning and you can even see some elephants while having breakfast. We had dinner and breakfast twice at the hotel and both times they were really good, one of the best restaurants during our stay in Sri Lanka.

I would recommend to stay in one of the rooms instead of the tree house because they’re just more comfortable.

This is an eco luxury resort at its best. It’s a family run business that is a reflection of its owners , friendly , very professional and smart staff who look forward to catering all your needs and make your stay the most pleasant possible in a very relaxed manner. They make you feel as if like you were at home while you enjoy the astonishing views from the swimming pool that will stick in your mind for years to come. Nothing can surpass being in the middle of nature. If you can , stay for at least 3 nights to make the most out of it. You can use it as your base for visiting Polonnarawa , Minneriya park and Sigiriya . You can also walk from the hotel to either sigiriya rock or Pidarungala temple. The food is probably one of the best ( if not the best) we had in sri lanka. We stayed for dinner every night, no need to go out. One of the best experiences in Sri Lanka!

Lovely big spacious rooms, gorgeous bath I could lie in looking outside at Lion rock . The pool was delightful and the perfect temperature for a late afternoon swim. The dining room was well laid out with lovely views and the food was delicious. Loved the breakfast with the very tasty fruit and curd. The owners were very receptive and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly.

Food and drinks were expensive compared to other places we have been

Staff were extremely helpful with everything - telling us how to get to different rocks, times of day, organising village tour for us and giving us a lift to the tour. We booked Mountain View and stayed in the birds nest which was fun and had good view. Nice pool too. Very easy to walk to both Sigiriya and Pidurangala (20-30 mins to both). Stayed on a recommendation and would recommend to others.

Our stay at Sigiriya King's Resort was amazing, and it was definitely our favorite hotel in Sri Lanka! The location was perfect, as we walked to Sigiriya King's Rock in about 25 minutes. The staff was lovely and the location was truly beautiful. They organized our safari for us, which was our favorite activity on the trip. But maybe best of all was the food--our favorite dining experience in the entire country by far!

Chairs in restaurants were fun looking but uncomfortable, food was extremely expensive when compared to local prices.

Staff were outstanding. Food was exciting and extravagant. The location is fantastic for hikes safaris and temple visits. And the resort is a small and enjoyable space to relax in between.

We booked in Booking a suite with mountain view. Instead the staff took as at the bird’s neat. Anyways we got a convenient upgrade and stayed in a wonderful room.

The location is amazing with a wonderful view of both Lion’s rock and Pidudungala. Food and staff were the best in Sri Lanka.
