Mosquito repellent is helpful in the evening but Suriya can help out with that.

Suriya the owner is really helpfull and also offers tuctuc tours to surrounding sights and towns. He and his family are really caring and the food of his wife is absolutely delicious. From the terrace you can see the Lion‘s Rock while cuddeling the sweetes dog in the world. I really enjoyed my stay and hope I can com back when the rooms on the first floor are ready :)

I arrived late, Syriya offered tea and coffee and even shared dinner with me. The room is very clean and bright, there is a towel. The house is located in a quiet and peaceful place. In the morning you can listen to the birds and admire Sigiriya over breakfast. He took me in the morning at 4.30 in a tuk-tuk to Mount Pidurangala, gave me a lantern, I got up to watch the sunrise and see how beautiful it was around, then he met me and took me back. The breakfast was delicious, local food and not spicy. Thank you for your hospitality, your place is very comfortable, it felt like I was at home.

Located near the Sigiriya rock. A beautiful quiet place tucked away. A beautiful view of the Sigiriya stone can be seen from the bedroom. The owner is kind. Your wife cooked delicious food. Thanks for everything. Everything is excellent.

The mosquito nets were uncomfortable to get in and out especially when you are two in a bed, there is only one side that opens, a real hustle for the person on the the non open side to get out. A little shelf in the bathroom would help too, that way one can put ones bathroom utensils there, especially when you are three sharing the room.

the breakfast was delicious and they are super friendly, helpful and kind. They are a very nice family taking great care of the guest and trying to make it very comfortable for you to stay there and also to explore the surroundings. Wonderful.

Short, sweet and quiet. There’s some lovely restaurants and bars down in the village which is about a 10 min walk away.

The owner was very keen to sell local tours with either himself or others and when he realised we weren’t interested he then became a little distant.

The location was excellent with a view of Lions Rock from the terrace. Room was large, spacious and clean.

Similar to other reviews we felt that the host really puts in the effort to show you his region. This why we trusted him and booked a daytrip to Polonnaruwa and a tuktuk ride to Lion‘s Rock with him. However, from the first minute at his property the host tries to sell you as much as he can and never tells any price (even circumvent to name one when asked). Then, after a full day trip with him and falling asleep in the tuktuk, he stressed us to visit the boat trip, which we already refused once, and a spice garden. It was a tour with a „Ayurveda Doctor“ through a garden to show and explain us local spices. At the end of the tour I was asked to sit down and received a shitty massage which K did not ask for and had to pay for it. They also have a shop where they sell their products to exorbitant prices. Afterwards a local restaurant owner told us that those spice gardens are a tourist scam and our host receives commissions for it. We felt really betrayed by the host. When we then refused to book a trip to Dambulla with him because we found a cheaper option on PickMe, he got mad. Our PickMe driver was unable to enter the property but was blocked and hit by the host’s friends (we received a video from the driver).

    - Nice, clean & big rooms - beautiful garden - view on lion‘s rock

The male owner was friendly but a bit possessive. He was very persistant for us to book all trips and extra trips with him and would make us feel like we were unsafe to travel outside of the hotel unaccompanied by him.

The location is superb, close to little local shops and restaurants. A short tuck tuck ride to the main attractions. They cater all meals on request
