We loved our stay at Silva Rest. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The location was excellent within reach of the beach, restaurants and shops. The pool area was clean, very tranquil and great for spotting wildlife. We were lucky enough to watch the monkeys in the trees which was great fun. If we found ourselves in Unawatuna again, we would definitely return!

Biggest plus is the beautiful pool in the back garden with lots of birds, greenery, monkeys, lizards. It was so peaceful..an oasis from the business of Unawatuna . Our family room was spacious with open air bathroom, hot water, aircon, fridge and big private balcony looking down the garden and pool. Lovely owners and staff. What more could you want?

The shower pressure was a little low!

The location is great, right in the heart of Unawatuna, 5 mins stroll from the beach. The room was lovely, nice terrace outside. It was very clean. The pool was set in its own area, surrounded by jungle. The staff were outstanding - they are always around and bring mosquito coils at sunset for the terrace. The breakfast is 10 out of 10. Will definitely return.

there was alot of mosquitoes in the room which was fine at night inside the mosquito net but a little annoying the rest of the time

location was ideal, lovely room, with good shower. Pool was great loved watching the monkeys!!

Everything was perfect! Peaceful place with beautiful garden & swimming pool. Loved our balcony, room & bathroom were clean & comfortable. Fridge & kettle inside the room was great! Aircon & fan both worked really well. Location is perfect, on the main street so close to the beach & good restaurants.

The location is great in the middel of everything, it is in the Main Street but you don’t feel it when you are on your balcony. The place is much nicer the pictures say. The staff is really friendly and the got a nice swimming pool. The room is big and it has a hairdryer, kettle and a mini fridge. There is warm and cold water and it is very clean!

Good looking, comfy rooms with nice outdoor shower. It is a great location in the city center, however when you want to rest in the pool area you feel like in the middle of a jungle. Have been there 2 times and will def come back.

We enjoyed everything about our stay here

I would 100% recommend staying here. Our room was huge with it's own balcony. Everything looks amazing and very clean, in my opinion the pictures on Booking.com do not do the property justice and it is much nicer in person. Easy 5 min walk to Unawatuna beach, located very conveniently with loads of shops and restaurants near by but still able to feel very peaceful and quite being slightly offset from the road. Easy Tuktuk ride to Galle Fort and Turtle Sanctuary in Kagoola. The pool was great and also a fantastic spot for seeing wildlife, with monkeys in the trees!

We didn't much like Unawatuna.

We had 2 pleasant & clean ground-floor rooms, opening onto a leafy area off the main 'drag' in Unawatuna. The road is super-busy but the hotel rooms are peaceful and feel happily secluded. The pool is great and kept remarkably clean despite being fringed with banana and coconut trees. Several evenings, we were entertained at the pool by a troop of monkeys crashing through the trees & picking bananas. The staff were friendly, helpful and paid great attention to tidying and sweeping around trhe garden area. Altogether an excellent choice of hotel.

Lots of mosquitos and the adjacent road is quite busy, so there is a bit of noise

Great location. You're in the middle of town but the place is still peaceful. Comfortable and clean rooms, friendly staff, nice pool. Definitely recommend.
