Amazing all around. Tony was very responsive before my arrival, super friendly, and has all the info. The house is in a great location, I had a room facing the street and it never bothered me (and I'm actually a light sleeper). The room was cozy and I enjoyed the balcony (especially the kettle lol). Highly recommend staying here and I will definitely visit Jaffna again and stay at Tony's!

Tony is an amazing guy. He's very kind, informative and talkative. The room and bathroom were clean, bed was comfy. It's a 40 mins walk to city centre and 20 mins walk to railway station but you get quiet environment. Totally worth value of money and I would love to stay there again!

The AC could have worked a bit better but it did the job.

Felt very welcomed- Tony was very helpful in organising our guides of the peninsula and islands and choosing restaurants to eat. He helped us with laundry and organised really yummy breakfasts. Great location to do all the sights.

Great hostel in nice location next to Old Park. Tony was a very pleasant helpful owner. He provides information on the local sights, railway and bus timetables, and arranged an excellent all day tuk tuk tour of Jaffna Peninsula for 10000R (between 2 people) with knowledgeable driver. Rents bicycles too which is helpful because the fort and Nallur temple are about 3km away. My private room was clean and a decent size. Large comfortable bed with mosquito net. Ceiling fan and partially effective air con made for a comfortable night sleep. Bathroom was a bit cramped but perfectly adequate, Pleasant shaded terrace with chairs to relax on. Electric kettle provided too. Breakfast provided for an additional charge - menu choice at different prices. Good WiFi.

The was nothing I didn’t like.

I loved the place. You get what you pay for and this was excellent value for money. The shower and toilets were a little tired but clean and more than did the job! Lots of facilities to enable you to self cater if needed. Tony was just lovely really helpful. Did my laundry beautiful for a tiny fee and there was drinking water to refill bottles which was a huge plus.

Excellent location. I found it quiet and met lots of people on the balcony each evening and we swapped tips. Tony was so accommodating, organised and knows what is happening in area and organised our trip with a local guide and we had a day tour of the Northern peninsula. Amazing guide and very good value.

This is an hidden gem and outstanding homestay run by Tony, an incredibly helpful and friendly owner. The bed and room was comfortable, Tony was incredibly helpful, he helped you organise other travels, knew a lot about the city of Jaffna, cooked excellent breakfast. I cannot be more positive.

Tony's hospitality is oustanding! He helps out with anything and makes you feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious and everything was extremely clean. His dog Sophie is the cuddliest Golden Retriever and it's a good place to meet and chat with other travellers. Can't recommend it enough!

Nothing, I had a fabulous stay and would stay again in a heartbeat!

After booking, Tony (the owner) sends a very descriptive email with loads of information about the property and travelling to Jaffna. Tony and his team have excellent communication skills with excellent English, they are friendly, helpful & funny. Location of the hostel is brilliant, close to restaurants, cafes, centre of town, the bank and the beer shop and are all walkable. Tony organised a tuk tuk tour of the Northern part, which was excellent with a great tuk tuk and driver who spoke great English and was very knowledgeable & passionate of the area. Tony also booked early morning tuk tuks too. Tony has a wealth of knowledge of the area, so please ask as he's very approachable. The rooms are basic but have everything you need. There's even a water station to refill your bottles for a small fee which is brilliant. The upstairs balcony area was fabulous at the end of the day to chill and chat to other guests. Tony has created an excellent chilled vibe throughout the hostel.

Amazing from the welcome email Tony does everything he can to make your stay special from cooking breakfast to giving great advice about Jaffna and SR in general. Rents great value scooters and bikes. Rooms are clean and nice outside space

What makes a difference is the host. Tony listens and helps out, gives great recommandations adapted to each client (arranged the renting of a scooter, gave directions while we are in an excursion…). Always smiling and positive. He also makes great breakfast. There is a very chill vibe in his house. If we had more time we would have stayed a lot longer to discover more and spend more time Sophie (the super cute and very well behaved golden retriever).

Tony has created a great environment to enjoy Jaffna. It is clean, well managed and Tony exudes an enthusiasm for not only Jaffna and the north but also to create a good hostel. Clean, good facilities, nice spacious areas to hand out and great information available. Easy communication into the city and onward travel. Absolutely recommend. Good value.

The shower in our room was cold but with the warm temperature outside it wasn't that big of a problem. There is also a warm shared shower.

Tony is very kind, available and organised us two day trips to see the northern part of the peninsula and the island delft. There was a menu with several meals to choose from for breakfast. It was always very good and the portions were generous.
