I had a fantastic stay at Malford Heaven! The guest house was impeccably clean and provided a comfortable retreat. The breathtaking view from the property added an extra layer of delight to my experience. The staff's friendliness and warmth made me feel right at home, and the wholesome breakfast was the perfect start to each day. Highly recommended for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway.

The hot water in the shower was pretty touchy and the rooms were a bit cold at night.

Our host was very attentive and friendly, preparing delicious meals for our group. The pillows and beds were very comfortable, and overall the stay felt like good value for money. Location is great to listen to the sound of water as you fall asleep and wake up to morning fog. You won’t be disappointed!

This was such a gem of a place. The host is very warm and kind and helped us out on many occasions, with getting a tuk tuk and even a car to our next city at a very competitive price (better than all the apps). He also cooked us one of my favourite meals of the trip for breakfast. It was a buffet fit for royalty!! All the Sri Lankan traditional foods and he made them so delicious and authentic (I'm Sri Lankan for reference!). Room was excellent and comfortable too. There was a lovely view of Gregory Lake from the room and the shared balcony outside!

We had a lovely time at Melford. Bandara is a really nice host. He made us a list of nice restaurants, things to do in the city which was really helpful. The property is beautiful and well maintained and the view from the rooms is really nice.

Our stay at Melford house was amazing! We spent 2 nights there and enjoyed every minute. We got the room at the top floor and it was spacious and had 2 large double beds. Very clean and comfortable. The view was amazing. The breakfast was amazing - the best we had in Sri Lanka so far!! The owner is one of the nicest people we got to meet - super helpful with everything. He helped us with some tips, did the laundry for us, and in general was super kind. Location was perfect - by the lake. We highly recommend this place.

The place is the most homely place we came across in Nuwaraeliya. The place is awesome and the staff is very helpful. Rooms are so clean and walking distance to the Gregory lake . The place is so safe. Felt so homely during the stay and planing to visit again . Can highly recommend to anyone

Only issue was the wifi & TV did not work well.

The locasion & facilities were very good. The manager Bandara manages the place very well by giving the right royal treatment to the guest.

It was an incredible nice stay! After arriving we got a fantastic tea to our room and we enjoyed the silence and the view from our room over the lake. The owner was the whole time super friendly and lovely. He was drying our cloth after a big rain - he brought us a heater ;) the breakfast at this place was our first traditional Sri Lanka breakfast - it was absolut special and fantastic. he gave us good recommendations for everything - we would love to come back ;)

the hotel was at the corner of the lake. the room was very big. I went with my 1.5 old. They prepared kid's meal that was so very delicious. very friendly & pleasant staffs. the hotel location is bit distant from the town centre (may be 3kms away)

This place is outstanding. Bandara is such a warm-hearted and helping person & really passionate about what he’s doing. He runs this beautiful place located close to the lake with really big rooms, comfy beds & the best breakfast we had so far. Unfortunately we were short in time and only stayed one night there, would have loved to extend.

Breakfast was excellent and matched our style ( Sri Lankan menu specially) Rooms were clean and pleasant View of the lake is fascinating , we spent most of the time in the garden with lake view. Rooms have extra space and we loved its quiet environment. Mr Bandara and Mr Isuru were always with smile faces almost made our day!! We recommend this place for couples like us.
