We just left the place and I have to say, this was the best stay we had! The room is amazing, big, with great mosquito net, A/C and big bathroom. The breakfast WAS SO GOOOD. Lovely staff, they welcomed us with some tea, coffee and biscuits, and then gave us some beach recommendations. They made us a great srilankan breakfast very early in the morning so that we could go early to the beach to see turtles afterwards. There is a great beach 15 mins walking from the hotel, where you can swim with turtles ! There are some restaurants nearby and it is in a quiet area which is nice. The AC in the room is also much appreciated, and the shower has hot water. Would definitely stay here again !

We were warmly welcomed when we arrived. The room was clean with AC plus a ceiling fan. The bathroom has two showers, one with warm water and one with cold/cool water (which I preferred using after a day at the beach!). The hosts, a lovely couple, were so welcoming and friendly, we could contact/talk to them at any time! The location is good, within a small village. We chose to ride a moped, but you could walk if you wanted to! There is a lot of nature around, we saw lizards, two different species of monkeys, a peacock and a monitor lizard! The breakfasts are a feast! And always different each morning! The hosts were always smiling, so friendly and we felt so welcomed. Thank you for an amazing stay, we loved it!

The hosts were incredibly kind, attentive and accommodating and served us a delicious meal. They helped us out with logistics by getting us a reliable taxi as well. The room was very clean and comfortable and we had the pleasure of enjoying their beautiful green verandah and lush garden in our downtime. It's very close to a popular local food stall and Mirissa town. Will definitely be back when we come back to the area, you can book this place with your eyes closed!

The only thing we found challenging was actually finding the location. Even though a sign pointed the way, we still had trouble telling which track was the correct one; luckily the neighbor was kind enough to assist us!

Charming, good size room, very clean and well appointed. Nice hot water for the shower, mosquito net and soft sheets made it incredibly restful after a long drive. The hosts in particular enhanced our visit - they were friendly and so helpful, and provided help with wifi, directions and a beautiful breakfast on a lovely porch filled with plants. We had specified a need for parking, which was granted in a very secure and convenient spot.

Nothing, we were really pleased with everything considering how inexpensive it was to stay there.

Breakfast was incredible. The best Sri Lankan breakfasts we had. Our hosts were super attentive making sure we were topped up on tea and breakfast foods. Stayed there for four days and had a different breakfast each morning to our delight. Our host also noted we weren't a fan of Papaya and stopped giving those on fruit platters and provided alternatives without asking. Clean rooms, hot water, a short walk outside of town so nice and quiet. Really great value for money. The sweetest hosts.

Owners Indu and Khomudu were wonderful hosts. The room was spotless, featuring a renovated bathroom with hot water. Breakfast was authentically Sri Lankan and delicious, offering sweet options and fresh fruit, along with coffee and tea. We truly appreciated all the time we spent at their homestay. What can i say - we felt right at home the second we stepped on this property. The hosts are lovely people that go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and part of their family. The stay was very clean and Kumudhu was amazing. We had a great breakfast as well. Would definitely recommend if someone is looking for a stay near Coconut Tree Hill. They arranged reasonable Tuk tuks as well for visiting nearby places.

We had a great and lovely stay at Sun & Tree with the most kind and generous hosts Indu and Kumundo and family, who made us feel very welcome. They made delicious Sri Lankan breakfast (huge portions) every morning for us, and were always very nice to gives us recommendations and answer all our questions. They are such hospitable people. The lush guesthouse is located close to coconut tree hill and other beautiful beaches, with a 20 min walk or short tuk tuk trip to 'downtown' Mirissa.

A very cute and comfortable hideaway. Surrounded by green nature but also close enough to the main street. The host and his wife were helpful and very friendly. The room was equipped with everything necessary - large bed with a mosquito net, an own bathroom with hot water, small wardrobes and an AC. Also we had a small terrace. We planned a whale watching tour one morning and it was a bit early for breakfast and so we got rice and curry for lunch. It was a pleasure to stay there.

Nothing, we loved everything!

We have literally just left this stay and had to write a review straight away! This was a brilliant home stay with the loveliest family and our favourite stay so far in Sri Lanka. The room is clean and big with a hot shower and the location is a short scooter ride to the beach (which the family helped us to arrange). Every morning we were made a Sri Lankan breakfast and I looked forward to it, especially the pancakes with honey and coconut in. They knew this was my favourite too and they made them every morning for us. Every food item was so delicious! We had breakfast, fresh fruits, fresh juice and tea and coffee offered. The table you sit at to eat is also facing what feels like the jungle and you can see wildlife such as monkeys! I can’t recommend this stay enough - we were made to feel welcome from the moment we got there and couldn’t have stayed with nicer people. - from Brittanie and Ben :)

Everything was clean, the hosts were lovely. Ut was a little bit tricky to find the location. We were allowed to leave our car on their ground for the night. Great breakfast and beautiful surrounding.
