Amazing location right on beach staff helpful with money exchange and accommodated us staying longer on the day we checked out.

We liked this place a lot. It has quiet surroundings and a perfect location, just a couple of steps from the ocean and close to good restaurants. We appreciated how the staff helped with anything we needed, even providing us with another room with an air conditioner when ours broke due to a town-wide electricity shutdown. We are very grateful for this. I highly recommend staying here.

Very old rooms with terrible airconditioning. You were not able to cool down the room and temperature remains above 30 degrees. The noise isolation is not good, so till late in the evening you can enjoy the music and fireworks. Price was low compared to other places, so can’t be too fuzzy about it.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Location is very centrally in the town and easy to explore shops and restaurants.

Looking different than in pictures. In the booking we had there should ve been a mini-bar and it wasn’t in the room. Pet are allowed, but with an extra fee of $15 USD. A/c motors are a bit noisy and nearby places are having night parties, so not quiet sleeping.

Bed is comfy. Nice place if you like parties.

We had a few issues with our aircon, which is not ideal in 35 degree weather.

Property was a stones throw from the beach. Unreal location with great food options at a walking distance. Also a 15-20 min walk to Arugam Bay point for surfing. Staff were very accomodating.

Only few places in Arugam Bay accept Credit Cards, Cash is needed everywhere…

Clean and spacious family room incl. AC. Lot of space, everything important was available. Probably one of the best room in that area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food and kitchen was very delicious. Sam was a great surfteacher who helped organizing wonderful trips and surf experience. He cared very much about our family, played with the kids and gave us very cool tips and advice organized cool safari trip and driver to our next destination. Highly recommended!

- restaurant good but a bit pricey - laundry service available but improveable - no mosquito net, as we didn't use the AC and slept with open balcony door it would be handy

+ take a room with sea view, so much better, we got upgraded due to low season :) + very friendly owner

Lots of moskitos made my first night really unpleasant. But the owner then provided me with coils and incense sticks, which took care of the problem.

The place is right on the beach. From my seaview room you could see it through the palms and hear the waves. The owner was friendly and helpful. The room was simple and functional, the bed comfortable.

The staff (apart from the owners) speak very little English. Some of the towels and bedsheets need to be replaced as they got stains on them. We got new ones fortunately. Would stay here again!

Very kind owner! He gave us some good advice about busses and checked on us regularly. AC and WiFi worked perfectly. Basic rooms but clean and functional.

Shower can do with some improvements and bit of a smell that comes up the drains, but that’s pretty standard for the type of surf lodge laid back vibe.

Arugambay has a lot of Party’s going on and guests from all hotels were complaining about the noise

The owners were very understanding and gave us anything we needed. There are two lovely restaurants on the property, a Pizza restaurant and a seafood restaurant

Comfy bed and great staff and manager. AC issue was fixed asap. Bar and food is also offered. Some new renovated rooms and some older ones, which I assume will also be updated within time.

Perfect location. We stayed in the appartement with my family. Staff was very helpfull and food was affordable and very good. We have been traveling for a month on the island and that is a local place that give tou a true experience. Will recommend it to any family.

I think it was advertised with the closet and a couple of other items that were not there, which I could get away without, but it would be nice to have somewhere to put my clothes. It took me a while to get adjusted to the Arugam bay and people asking "what is your name "every 10 minutes". I also did not knew I got to request the room service. And the service can be great,can be not so great in the Arugam bay in general, it really depends on a local person's skills.

Absolutely loved my room, everything was fine in my room, and the ocean view was great. I liked the staff, and the opportunity to use one of the boards for a small fee. The restaurant and breakfast were good. And the area near the beach was fun to be at. The owner is a really nice guy, he tried to make all possible to ensure the guests are comfortable.

Everything was just fine

Room was excellent and although not one of their apartments, the beds were comfy and the room was well clean. I have breakfast for 8 dollars and that got me well through the day as it is rather copious.

This B&B was the highlight of my trip. Wonderfully friendly staff, great location on the beach, lovely happy hour cocktails and generally a superbly welcoming vibe
