Oh my god - what a nice guest house in Trincomalee! It made all the difference for my stay in Trincomalee. The house is beautiful and cozy with a nice garden, cute rooms, very clean, perfect location. Everything you need is there. But the best is Rangan, the host. He was so welcoming and did everything he could that we have the best stay in Trinco. His snorkeling and boat tours are the best - big recommendation! And his food is a m a z i n g! I would always come back if I am in Trincomalee again.

Loved my stay here!! The host Rangan was so lovely and went out of his way to make the guests experience the best it could be. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the location super close to the beach, restaurants and bus stops. Rangan went out of his way to drop me into the neighbouring town of Trincomalee with no extra charge and when he heard that myself and another guest had not tried milk rice he cooked it for us for breakfast the following morning. Would definitely recommend and will return if I’m back in Sri Lanka.

The White House is such a little oasis! The property is lovely! Lots of places to sit and enjoy all the trees and plants! Very peaceful! The rooms are really nice as well! I stayed in a private room for two nights and then the dorm room for another 5 nights! Both rooms were really nice and clean. Rangan (the owner) and his workers create such a warm and welcoming place for everyone! Always willing to help with absolutely anything. Planning, buses, activities, or even if you just want to chat with some tea! Once you walk into the White House, you are apart of their family! I highly recommend and will be returning myself!

Nothing to mention everything was great

The white house is the place to stay in Trincoo! It felt safe and like home since the beginning. Only 2min walk to the beach. The hostel and surrounding like the garden is decorated nicely. The owner Rangan is so kind and funny and helps you with everything! We made a day trip to Pigeon Island for snorkeling and we had the best time and the memories we won’t forget. Also the breakfast is super tasty! We will come back for sure to this place!

I had a wonderful stay at the white house. The food was amazing and the bed very comfortable. The host is very kind and helped me with everything I needed - from organising my bus back to Colombo to driving me into town for sightseeing to making me a to-go breakfast for the way. I can really recommend the hostel!

Everything about the White House is just amazing. It’s one of the nicest places I stayed at in Sri Lanka and I felt at home the second I stepped in. Rangan, the owner, is way more than a great host. He is like a brother. The garden is beautiful and everything around the property is neat and clean! The rooms are superbly clean, beds are comfy, there are fans and mosquito nets and it’s quiet. The cleanliness was exceptional. Highly recommend! Thank you Rangan!

Tony was absolutely amazing. Because it's the off season it was just him and I. He looked after me, shared his food and always made sure I was comfortable. Couldn't ask for a more friendly host

Mosquito net with many holes inside, so it didn’t help and the bed was very short. My boyfriend is 1,84 m and couldn’t sleep very well.

Such a lovely wholesome spot in a great location! Filtered water, clean and comfortable rooms, nice chill out areas. The best part of the stay was Tony who stole our hearts! He was so kind, making us tea and coffee and having great chats. He got us some local breakfast in and we ate together. Definitely one to remember because of him! Would highly recommend ☺️🫶

With only the big fan in the room it is a bit hot but still enjoyable

The owner (Rangan) is great and a really good host. The location was also great with a beautiful garden and short ways to the beach. If you want to go snorkling to pigeon island we would recommend to do a trip with rangen, he is really passionite about the sea life.

Fan-only room so was quite hot at times. Quite a few ants/bugs so keep bags zipped up. Cash only payment for room.

Excellent location short walk from beautiful beach/shop/cafes, property is lovely really feels like you are in the jungle! Host Rangan was super lovely, along with his uncle and friend staying too, great conversation and he made us yummy breakfasts - would recommend the banana pancakes! We also really enjoyed the pigeon island snorkelling tour with Rangan, saw sharks and turtles up close, would recommend! Mosquito net was good, Wi-Fi was decent, bathroom was large and clean, plug outlet by the bed. Really enjoyed our stay here, we wish we could’ve stayed longer!
