How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Very clean and comfortable. After one month in Sri Lanka I was very happy to find this place. The host is very friendly and generous too. I wished I have had more time left to enjoy the comfort of the place. Although, I stayed there only for one night before my flight the next morning.

We didn’t spot a nearby shop, but equally we didn’t explore the area too much!
Great stay for one night after arriving to Sri Lanka. Big and clean room with good aircon. The owner picked us up from the airport for a reasonable price and it was a very short journey.

This is not so much the hostel's fault, but I am writing this so that guests can count on such a problem and possibly order food directly with the hostel manager. It happened to me that the food delivery service had a problem finding the hostel. Only after two phone calls from the hostel manager did the driver finally find it. The restaurant that sent the food was only about 1 km away.
It is a very nice hostel, clean with nice air conditioned rooms. The location close to the international airport is very convenient if you have a late arrival or an early departure. There is an equipped kitchen for guests to use and there are dining tables upstairs so you have somewhere to eat your own meals. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Many thanks.

The hotel is located in a beautiful environment and has a quiet and peaceful environment, came to this accommodation until I was ready for my flight, a really peaceful place in a very beautiful environment, usually only 5-10 minutes from the airport, I was not bothered at all. And the owner is very nice and friendly. The hospitality of the people there was very good. This hotel is a very good hotel to stay. Thank you !

Lots of mosquitoes in the room, no mosquito repellent in the socket.
Close to the airport, 1000 LKR for transport if you want. AC new and well working. Nice showers and kitchen. Good breakfast. Comfortable beds. Thick curtains.

Rooms quite small, but enough. Shared bathroom but very clean and close. Quiet location, but quite far from shops and bars. With tuk tuk no problem or 15 min walk.
Full recommendation! I would go there again! Extremely clean and new place. The owner is very very helpful and nice and supporting. He gave us a lift to the airport at 6am, to be sure we are on time. Kitchen equipped and available to the guests. Aircon and lots of useful facilities. Big common space.

Everything was great
The owner was very responsive and friendly, organising the airport pick up and showing the amenities. It was perfect for my one night stay after arriving late at night from a long flight.

This accomodation really exceeded our expectations. The location is really great for when you arrive late at the airport. It's only a short drive. We arrived around midnight and because we didn't get any food on the plane, we were quite hungry. We asked the host if there was any food nearby, and he offered to drive us to a restaurant. Absolutely amazing! The host is so helpful and friendly. Besides that the house is very clean, the rooms are spacious with AC and the shower has hot water. Wifi also worked great. What more can you ask for right? I would definitely recommend staying here!
