Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Sri LankaI booked a room three days in advance. On the booking date, the hotel contacted me to confirm my arrival and informed me that the room was ready. I told them I would arrive by 4:30 PM, but due to some work, I reached the hotel at 5:30 PM. When I arrived, they had given my room to someone else and complained that I was late. They then gave me a poor-quality room for $51, which I felt was only worth $8-10. I am very disappointed.

GermanyVery nice Hotel, good location and very helpful and caring staff. We arrived during a power outage, but the hotel staff did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The room was large and had everything we needed, a very nice experience! I would recommend this Hotel to everyone.

The staff was very welcoming and accommodating to my wishes (e.g. late arrival and early departure). The room is nice and the staff personally brought the portable WiFi router to ensure optimal internet connection! In addition, the hotel is relatively close by Mountain Lavinia Train station (from where you can depart anywhere) as well as the beautiful bNo each.

GermanyWe had a very good stay at royal mount hotel. It's located a bit away from the main street, and even if the train line is close, it was a quiet and not noisy surrounding. The staff and the manager was super helpful, the room was clean and in really good and modern condition. The shower was one of the best in our 3 weeks on Sri lanka. The beach with some nice restaurants is very close and only 3 minutes walk. We definitely can recommend that place
