Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

The rooms are exceptional.and their breakfast is breathtaking. I loved everything, truly lovely, beautiful, large rooms that could possibly be classed as presidential suite and affordable .Breakfast was the best I had eaten throughout my stay in other hotels in Europe . I.trult didn't want to leave. i felt so happy, been a while, and any hotel got me feeling this way. Radisson blu Duagava, you guys have won me over as the best hotelEurope Please keep up.the good works are that your rooms are exceptional and your breakfast is fit for a king .

SerbiaThe waitress was being disrespecful,we even gave him a good tip and he didnt even pay attention on it and wasnt thankful,he was nervous that we came on the almost end of his shift and he looked pretty upset. We didnt like that we had to additionally pay for pool and spa,and its not even worth it,wasnt it enough that we already paid the hotel?Luckily we were staying only one day.
Food was great

United KingdomBuilding is very outdated which wasn’t a big issue for me but I can see how it can be an issue for others - plug sockets dropping out of walls, dirty curtains, really old carpets and cleaners do not clean the rooms every day. Spa is additional €15 per person for 2hrs which wasn’t clear when I booked it. Hotels carpark also €15 per day which is pretty expensive knowing nearby carparks charge similar money for a monthly membership. Lastly reception staff not really friendly, some of them don’t seem to speak good enough english or Latvian which I was finding it weird, had multiple issues with carpark not letting cars out and reception staff blaming untidy number plates which wasn’t the case.
Property was really close to town centre and really convenient that it is located next to National library so many trams and buses stops there.

IrelandParking 15e per day Swimming pool 15€ per person Beds for my kids was broken with screws out,my one of kids bed was in middle of the room ,that we didn't have space even to walk around room!also kids found in wardrobe some small metal doors open to the shaft in the wall, when I asked workers to close it bcs it's dangerous for kids I got answer ,there is no key !not sure how that can be!room phone was not working ,I can hear receptionist but they couldn't hear me!room service is till 9:30pm after that you can't get even glass of wine!Swimming pool is 15 € per person ,water is only 27-28 degrees, for kids is cold, and if you go to swimming pool early morning it's very cold!parking was 15€ per day,I paid 30euros,but when I was exiting parking they wanted me to pay again, but this time 38€,so I need to leave car, take my kids and go back to hotel and deal with it bcs call button by exit was not working also!I never experienced anything like this before!the worst hotel, just big name

EstoniaSpa was one of the reasons why I choose this hotel and it was very disappointing. Water in pool wasn’t clean imo and there were some white flakes in it. Bubble bath was out of service. But the worst part was a smell. Smell of a sewage. You can feel it at the reception already. I thought maybe they had some incident, but this smell stayed there whole week. Spa access is paid and I didn’t enjoy paying 15 euros for 2 hours in a smelly place. Also, there is casino on the 1st floor and smoking is allowed there. You can feel this smell near the elevators. Mixing with sewage smell coming from spa area. But if you’re not as sensitive to smells as me , than it won’t bother you, probably.
Location is nice, we had room with nice view. Cleaning service ladies are very friendly and nice. Breakfast is okayish, but it would be nice to have separate pots with hot water for tea to avoid coffee lovers queues.

EstoniaWe stayed over New Years Eve with our two small children, inspired by a stay as a couple 8 years ago in the same premise. We were very satisfied back then, but not this time. Our idea was to watch the fireworks and see the city from the hotel windows. First, we got the wrong (much small and not family) room, which was sold to us even as an upgrade. View was partly blocked by another building. For New Years Eve we went into the originally booked family room, which was old but alright, but all four big windows were foggy by humidity (happens with very old windows in the cold season), so that we could not see much at all. So the promised (and booked and paid) city view pretty much did not exist. Breakfast was not very tasty, friendliness of staff has room for improvement, waiting time was described by other recent posts (we were rather lucky with that, check-in took around 20min)
Location is great with (in principle) view from Daugava river towards the city. We got a free meal in the hotel restaurant as compensation for the disappointments described below.

GermanyThe only reason for me to select this junior suite room in this hotel was the bathtub, shown on the booking.com site picture. In reality there was no bathtub in the room (!!!), and no rooms with bathtub were available. The personnel was hopeless. Not sure whose fault it was, but the situation was very dissapointing.

LithuaniaTo little staff working during holidays, we had to wait three hours to receive our room (other people waited even longer) and that was not a room we booked (3 months in advance), the room in the old part of building was outdated and uncomfortable, our room was changed (to a different one) only after 9pm. The hotel did not take responsibility and did not even apologize for this inconvenience although first day of our vacation was spoiled. The water in spa was cold.
I stayed in this hotel for the third tine this Christmas. Earlier I did not have any objections, however this experience was not positive.

LithuaniaThe walls are very thin, and the door is poorly isolated, so we could even hear people talking in another room, or kids running in the hall. For light sleepers, not recommended. The shampoo bottle was not even provided in our room, while conditioner and body wash were. The rooms in general could use some upgrades. Sadly, the pool was also closed on January 1st, and this information was not provided to us beforehand. Finally, the check-in was supposed to begin at 3pm and we booked two rooms, and only one room was available at 3:25pm, the other was only ready at 4pm, so we had to wait for it to be cleaned.
The location is good. The breakfast buffet exceeded expectations and the beds were comfortable.

FinlandThe breakfast wasn't as good as we expected. Very limited number of healthy choices, lots of sweet options with jam and sugary stuff, tasteless scrumbled eggs. Coffee was bad. SPA visit wasn't included, which was a surprise considering the price for the room. We paid ourselves and went there, but there was nothing to do. Due to low attendance saunas were cold and it was no fun at all. So we basically paid for spending 30 min in a hot tub.
We had a big family room with the view towards the old town, it was great!
