Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainThe staff is so kind and so helpful. It was so nice to meet him to begin with our trip. The location is perfect in the medina. Rooms are little and not so comfortable but is perfect for a fast and cheap stay in the city center. Recommended!!

Spainthe riad design and type of clientele made for a very noisy night both until around 1 am and starting at 6 am...
My room was good size, with traditional furniture and a sink. Plenty of blankets for the cold nights. The riad had some nice traditional decor in common areas. The common shower and toilets were clean and worked well (bring your own towel). The main disadvantage was that there was a small patio to which all the bedrooms faced, so noise traveled uninterrupted throughout the riad and other guests were very inconsiderate, loud and noisy, so I´d only recommend this riad if you have good earplugs. Location was great.

United KingdomNo heating (we stayed in January) but extra blankets were provided. Our "room" was a painted out glass & half metal conservatory on the roof! No towels or toiletries provided but we didnt ask if towels were available because we had our own anyway. Poor maintenance evident in places within the hotel that would take minutes to fix, loose door handles etc. No wall bracket for shower head in one of the bathrooms. the temperature of the water varied from luke warm, just about ok to shower in all the way through to hot, though this could be down to the fact the hotel has a solar water heater and well, it was January :/ No wardrobe or drawers in our room, just one table. No working communal fridge available, no coffee making facilities, just non working items in the communal walkthrough.
Location & price. Easily arranged excursions. Good wifi even on top floor.

ItalyVery tiny rooms. It’s in a narrow side alley, but so so are lots of hotels/riad. It can look scary at first but we had no issues.
Basic accommodation, but very clean and orderly. Great quality/price ratio. The position is very strategic, just a few minutes away from the main square. The staff was super nice and helpful. Overall it’s a good place to crash a few nights, and everything went smoothly.

United StatesThe only complaint I have is that our room was right on the street so it was incredibly noisy and people were constantly smoking cigarettes right below our window and the smoke kept coming in. Request a room not on the ground level!
The staff was super friendly and even accommodated us for an extra night when we wanted to extend our stay and did our laundry for us! It was a clean room and a nice place.

We stayed there for one night, on our way back from Imlil Toubkal Treks to the airport. Location was excellent! Staff was friendly and helpful, room and toilets/showers small but clean, two roof terraces was a great bonus! Wi-fi available, good value for money.

PolandNo towels, no fan, small window in the room (which we felt lucky about as we saw some doors without the windows). Boiling hot. So I wouldn't recommend this place for the summer.
Great location, close to the main square and all the attractions, yet quiet (only noisy because of the other guests checking in etc.) Clean showers, sink in the room. Lovely stuff and late check in (11pm) without any issues.

LithuaniaThere is no way by any standard this place is a hotel. This is a hostel with private rooms instead of bunk beds. You can hear every slight noise at night, we got lucky to sleep 2 nights fully out of 4 nights. It is definitely hit or miss depending on the room. We took the cheapest option near the main door, with no fan in +41 degree. I am sure more expensive rooms were better some had AC so I suggest rent a bit more expensive room as well take ear plugs - I used my every night.
Brilliant staff and extremely clean place. You couldn’t find no dirt, bathrooms clean at all times - very impressive. Very good staff, helpful and sweet. You can rent a fan for additional cost. Had a lovely terrace we used, views are very impressive and just nice to relax in the evenings. Location was top as well.
