Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomDinner was probably a bit pricey for what it was…also they forgot I was vegetarian and had no real alternative. Against that, it’s not as though they could pop next door for extra ingredients!
This was a lovely hotel on the edge of desert. Great rooms, fantastic pool and location. Lots to do if you’re into camel riding, quad biking etc or just relax around the beautiful pool. The night sky was sublime .

PhilippinesThe restaurant items were expensive but that's the price we pay for staying out here. I would also prefer to order from a menu rather than eat what was available.
We enjoyed our stay at Agafay Valley. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The food was also great although lacking in options. The rooms were excellent and clean and there was a real toilet which was the main reason I chose this property.

The staff were absolutely wonderful. So flexible with our meal times and toddler.

ItalyUpon arrival, I would have appreciated more clarity on the meal options available. It was not clearly communicated that dinner is a fixed menu with no alternatives (if you have dietary restrictions, such as vegetarianism, it's advisable to inform the staff at check-in). Additionally, the dinner option seemed a bit pricey. Although there are no alternative dining options nearby, I believe that transparent communication about these details would help avoid any potential misunderstandings. On a positive note, I thoroughly enjoyed the lunch buffet, which offered a great variety of options.
The camp is stunning and provides a high level of comfort. The rooms are spacious and offer breathtaking views. The pool and common areas are also beautiful. Additionally, the staff members are friendly, hospitable, and always accessible. Had an amazing resting time not too far from Marrakech

SpainI felt there like trapped if you wanted to have lunch or dinner, the price that they were offering was a bit high for the meal that they were preparing.
How peaceful was to be there. Also I want to mention that Achraf was very attentive and supportive with us. A pleasure to meet him there.

PortugalAlthough this is a magical place, that is not enough to make this a good experience. Here are some things that we were very disappointed about: VERY expensive meals and very bad food. We paid 25€pp to have lunch and it was the worst meal we had in Marrakesh. Some frozen potatoes, dry meat and pasta. For dinner they will charge you 40€pp for basically the same. We asked to cook us something different but they have nothing else to offer. Rooms need maintenance: the shower didn’t work, it was all broken and we couldn’t use it. Pillows smelled bad Rooms are very hot and the AC could be better I wouldn’t be writing all this if we had a good response from the manager, unfortunately we felt that he was not professional at all. He didn’t care much about our complaints and staff was always trying hard but with no guidance as he was always on the phone or smoking
Incredible place in the middle of the mountains Nice pool and lounge

United KingdomThe only downside was the cost of lunch/dinner/drinks, which far exceeded the price of main Marrakech town and doesn’t quite meet the amount of food you get. You don’t really have much of an option because there’s nowhere else to go in the area. I bought some bits ahead of time for lunches and it’s not that big a deal if you’re on holiday and can spend a little more, but it’d be great if they could lower the prices just a little.
Unreal. The domes were fantastic; angled to catch the phenomenal view and the sunrise (make sure you wake up to watch it from your bed!). The pool and restaurant area are lovely, the facilities fantastic quality and the area so peaceful and calm. Huge thanks to Yasim and Yousef who really made the experience even better, and helped me to arrange quadbiking and transfers to/from Marrakech. Also, I’d recommend staying at least two nights to truly soak up the peace and quiet!

United StatesI can't recommend this hotel enough, and highly recommend it for anyone wanting to spend time in the Agafay Desert. The staff was beyond exceptional - they were communicative from the moment I booked (I had a lot of questions, and they answered each one thoroughly!) They arranged both transportation from Marrakech and then back again to the airport, and both were super easy and convenient. The property is absolutely stunning. The domes are amazing - we were a group of five, and we each had different ones and they were all so nice. The pool and common areas were clean, and we hung out in all of them, and each was so comfortable. The food was very, very good - we had lunch and dinner at the property, and they even packed a breakfast for a couple of us who had an early morning flight. Upon arrival, we booked a quad bike adventure and it was seemless - the tour came to us and we had a great time riding around the desert. I told the staff we were celebrating a birthday ahead of time, and they went above and beyond to make it special. The property and the staff really made this entire stay special - it is for sure a must-book!

IsraelThe dinner was very good but slightly over priced ( 400 Dirham per person) and also the Alcohol Menu is not cheap at all!! Prior to arrival I asked whether we could pay with a card. The answer was yes. At the check out, we were asked to pay also in cash if we have. We did have a few hundred Dirhams, the rest was with card... But, it was annoying because, first,I asked in advance, and second, we planned to use the cash back in the city. So when we got back to the city we needed to look for a new ATM. I didn't really care whether to pay cash or card. I only wanted to know that in advance. If I would have told you that they prefer cash, I would pay everything by cash. This is their livelihood, I understand and respect it. But this is why I asked in advance.
The restaurant and the pool area are amazing. A piece of oasis in the middle of the desert. The sleeping dome was cozy and nice, and had everything you needed for a good relaxing vacation ( even an hair dryer) and AC for hot/cold air and the most important thing, very very hot water in the shower ( you do need to wait a bit for it so be patient.) The show during the dinner - the live music - was exceptional!!! The trio played harmonically and beautifully. Waking up in the morning to the view of the sunrise is a wonderful experience.

ChinaThe water was cold and it was a wait before barely lukewarm water started flowing for shower. The Wi-Fi is limited to reception, dining and near by areas. It was not available in the room, but that was not a bother for us.
The freshness and taste with locally sourced ingredients was very good.

ItalyThe dinner is overpriced: €35 each for a standard soup, a chicken tajina and a little pudding. You can get better food in Marrakech for 1/3 of the price. They serve alchool though.
Amazing stay in Agafay desert. Great atmosphere in the domes which are super comfy and clean. The staff is extremely kind and very helpful. Great views, especially at sunset and dawn. They offer camel rides and other services.

United KingdomThe manager is exceptionally rude both over email exchange and in person. We celebrated our anniversary there and asked for the best done, yet they clearly gave us the oldest one where the blinds couldn't even open lol. As if to go to the desert and wake up to a sheeted wall as your view. Unbelievable. It was also clearly the oldest room, closest to the hotel with obstructed views. When raising this with the manager, he proceeded to argue with us. He needs to take a course in hospitality. The heater was also placed no where near an electrical socket so my husband had to drag this huge machinery across the room. A shame cause the place has potential.
Lovely location and has potential but didn't quite hit the mark. Nice music in the communal space a great food.

United KingdomIf I’m being fussy, I’d have preferred a room facing out into the desert with no other tents in view 😊
We loved our room, it felt huge and had a big ensuite. The staff were really friendly and the pool was lovely though unfortunately I didn’t get round to getting in as it rained a bit while we were there. It was such a relaxing place even in the rain/ cloudiness. Plus we got engaged here during our stay so a really beautiful place I will remember forever ☺️ great vegetarian tagine too.
