I would give this place a 10/10, but they lied about how much it would cost (that's incredibly uncool). It said I would be charged at the local exchange rate (which was 10.39 on the day I came), but instead they charged me an exchange rate of 10.80 (that level of exchange hasn't existed since like 2022 or 2023). This ended up costing me an extra 8 to 10 euros, which was an extremely deceptive business practice.

The place has everything you need--from WiFi to individual bathrooms to hot water showers.

they have a broken card reader so you have to pay in cash when you arrive. i didnt have my debit card, and it was very difficult to pay them.

The room doesn't have a an exterior window, but rather a window that opens to the interior courtyard. If you want privacy or security, you have to leave the window closed which makes the room quite stuffy. In booking.com, it is alluded that breakfast is included in the price. It is not, and breakfast isn't available. When I brought this up with a member of staff, he was rude in saying that for what I paid I shouldn't expect breakfast. Throughout my travels in Morocco, I stayed in many other riads that were cheaper which a breakfast included!

The location was central to everything in the town. It was right in the centre of the city and still quiet. The rooftop was a nice place to enjoy the sun.

It was slightly difficult to find due to the layout of the medina markets in Essaouira

The bed was very comfortable and the shower was very clean and purposeful. The hotel itself has a very traditional design with wooden windows and doors. The staff were very friendly and co operative throughout the stay.

Soap or shampoo in bathroom would have been nice. Perhaps a plant or two on roof terrace looked just a bit unloved up there.

Friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast with decent coffee and roof terrace for sunbathing. Bed was firm and comfortable with duvet and clean sheets. Nice hot showers.

Good hotel. My room was clean and well presented. Extremely comfortable mattress - one of the best I've slept on. Nice crisp white duvets and pillows. Wi-fi was very good. Excellent high pressure hot rain style shower. Also, I would like to give a special mention to Otma (I think that is his name?) at the reception - he was very nice and a pleasure to talk to.

Bed was a close to wall and had to squeeze by to window but otherwise minor.

Good location friendly staff and nice room with window. My room was clean and quiet and had everything needed. Downstairs breakfast was nice and easy to meet people around the breakfast table in the morning.

Perfect location, just off the Medina...basic but very convenient, comfortable, clean, and an excellent breakfast! Mohammad was very nice, plenty of advice and help.

The bathroom was not great as the shower, toilet and sink are all in the same area, meaning everything gets completely wet... There is a rubber mop to clean it, but it's not a great solution. Also, the reviews had comments about fantastic breakfast, however ours wasn't very special - maybe because we were the only guests having it at that time.

It is located at the very center of Essaouira, so everything is easily reached by foot. The window view is really nice, and generally it is a very light and nicely decorated place. We also asked for an earlier breakfast to be able to catch the morning bus and we were very grateful that the hosts did not have a problem with that.

Bedroom curtains very thin and don't keep out light. The taxi driver arranged by the hotel took 3 people to the airport - and overcharged all of us. Be careful when/if using them.

Some dampness. Not surprising since it's an old building and it's close to the sea. I recommend to air the room as much as possible.

The staff were really friendly. The breakfast was amazing. It's located right at the centre of Essaouira. Wifi works well. It's very nicely decorated.
