Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdomamazing location, literally in front of the dunes which we got to in no more than 5 minutes walking. Clean and comfortable rooms. The hotel staff are kind and offered various activities at a very good price. We highly recommend the jeep desert tour.

United KingdomThis place looks directly at the sand dunes near Merzouga. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable and they don't have a TV which is a bonus in my book but if you must stare at a screen there is a communal flatscreen. The Wi-Fi is very good though. The staff are very friendly and helpful. All round great value for money

GermanyUnfortunately we couldn’t pay with credit card
We had a nice welcome tea with the boss. Located next to the big dunes, you can start your camel ride within walking distance. The auberge is good, but not excellent. The rooftop I.e. would be nice if it’s furnished. Dinner was okay, breakfast good.

United KingdomThe only negative is that it is about a twenty minute walk, or a short taxi ride into town.
The hotel made an instant impression with its impressive appearance. Within its walls, there are well tended and designed indoor planted areas and a very large outdoor relaxing area around a pool with very clear, clean water. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, very well furnished and clean. I have stayed in many hotels on my tour of Spain, Morocco and France, and this one up at the top.

GeorgiaCheck in was super easy, our host arranged for a fun tour of the area for a good price, the rooms were clean and spacious, and very quiet. Also, the hotel is literally on the border of the Erg Chebbi dune, so you can walk about 300 meters to the dune and feel like you are in the sahara.

Everything, great helpful staff and the best location - in a village just 10kms from Merzouga with the sand dunes right Infront of hotel. You can watch the sunrise on the roof top terrace or take a short walk to see it from the most beautiful sand dunes. Our room was huge and the bed luxurious with wonderfully white top quality sheets and bedding. Big shower and efficient heating for those cold mornings and the breakfast buffet is awesome. I cannot recommend this place enough we even booked more nights as it was so relaxing and the village so unique with everything you need to enjoy the Sahara - camels, quads etc.

SwedenThey offer professionally run overnight camel tours into the dunes. At the camp, as well as at the auberge, the meals are delicious and copious, providing excellent vale for money. Everyone is cheerful. The pool is great for chilling at 40+ temperatures in the summer.

CanadaThe only downside was that we had to eventually check out and go home!
La Source was awesome. There was literally an oasis next door, but this hostel was all the oasis we needed. The breakfast was solid, the pool incredible, and the rooms so comfy! We were feeling unwell the next day (too much sun) and asked for late checkout. Hassan immediately said we could stay all day -- we lounged, napped, and had the best day we've had in Morocco. I could stay here for a month!

United KingdomWe really liked the location, just on the edge of the town with free view to the dunes. Was near a camel park and an oasis garden, which was nice to visit after the desert experience. The rooms were very comfortable, the breakfast buffet was nice and the pool as well

ChileThe cleanness of the room was super disappointed when we arrived. Hair on the tap in the bathroom, a piece of toilet paper in the bed behind the pillow and mattress, and the added blanket for the bed smelled very bad, like dirty since long time. Plus, there was no wifi in the room.
Location was really good, right next to the dunes
