How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast was fabulous! Lobby and rooms were beautiful and the lobby bar was lovely. We had drinks there on Christmas Eve. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Pack of vicious taxi drivers outside ready to tear you Apart for a chance to con some cash out of you. Better get rid of them ASAP.
Its a nice,cosy place seems more private then most chain hotels.

Breakfast was very average for a 5 star hotel. Wellness facilities was very poor. Worst thing was that they charged me more than double price (700) for airport transfer vs taxi market rate (300). Finally it felt they had a secret arrangement with taxi drivers to charge hotel residents more as my trip back to the hotel always costed significantly less. For the same distance taxi rates I was charged varied from 20-100 MAD and a taxi driver showed a different price list for Barcelo Anfa residents!
Hotel staff was very helpful and timely responsive to requests and the cleanliness of the facilities were very good.

It was all great.
Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Zineb checked us in and helped us several times, always with a smile. Teresa, the manager, was wonderful. She also welcomed us at check in and helped us get medical help when our child hurt her ankle. I can’t say enough nice things about how well we were treated. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night. The decor everywhere is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable and so clean. Shower was great. We weren’t able to use the pool, but it looked inviting. We would definitely come back and plan to stay at Barceló hotels elsewhere.

No Netflix on the TV, they tried to charge us 70$ USD for an airport shuttle and an extra 100$ USD to check in two hours earlier. Breakfast is also very expensive but there’s many coffee shops nearby that are reasonably priced

Mini bar options very expensive, but nothing else.
The staff was kind and very helpful. Barceló has a very nice facilities and I really recommend it for your Casablanca experience. Very good location, walk distance from coffee shops and nice places.

Restaurant is very overpriced and the food isn’t great. Any drinks we asked for, they were out of something. Many staff members of the restaurant had very strong body odour which was unpleasant during eating. Front desk staff and room staff were great.

A map and suggestions about the local area would be helpful.
A really modern and well presented hotel. The area around the hotel had a number of good restaurants. An easy walk to the mosque and markets. The room was very comfortable, clean and quiet. Enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful.

Beautiful hotel, very clean , rooms were stunning, hotel public area’s stunning. The pool area really lovely . The hotel was the perfect escape from the busy streets of Casablanca. Staff were also very good. Only thing is the shower is in the bedroom (with a kind of frosted glass), I and my partner didn’t mind. WC was hidden away though . Even with the shower in the room, it was still a gorgeous room.
