Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAfter an incredible but intense two-day trip to the desert, we were looking for a peaceful place to rest before heading to the beach. We booked two nights at Ecolodge La Palmeraie, and the only regret we had was not staying longer. This place is truly a hidden paradise—a perfect blend of nature, comfort, and authenticity. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the beauty of the ecolodge. The charming eco-friendly houses and tents, the refreshing swimming pool, and the lush surroundings created an atmosphere of pure tranquility. We loved the fact that they grow their own food and care for animals, adding to the sense of harmony with nature. The on-site restaurant served delicious food, refreshing ice creams, and great coffee—everything we needed was right there. The staff was wonderful, always friendly and helpful. One waiter, in particular, stood out for his kindness, though unfortunately, I can’t recall his name. Their hospitality extended beyond our stay—they even arranged all our transportation to the seaside, making our journey effortless. I would love to return and stay longer next time. This ecolodge is the perfect destination for rest, comfort, sunshine, and top-quality service—all at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in a magical setting!

BelgiumOn checking out, the option to pay with credit card was out of order. But this is apparently a typical Moroccan thing, bring cash...
Excellent. A very nice hotel, beautiful garden, cosy rooms and a tasty kitchen. Super friendly staff.

BelgiumShared bathroom if you stay in a tent. Our own mistake.
Friendly staff, nice food and good accomodation. Especially the bungalows are great (we booked 1 tent and 1 bungalow). We misread the details and were surprised to find out that if you stay in a tent then you do not have a private bathroom. But as said, that's only because we misread the details. Overall this is a nice place to stay.

United KingdomFabulous gardens, great pool (though too cold in December!) and nicely designed rooms; incredibly peaceful base to explore Ouazarzate - this is our second time here as the kids love it, and we would return. The bungalows have their own kitchen and bathroom so you can cook for yourselves if prefer - but the 'berber omelette' is GREAT.

MexicoIt is a little bit far from the city, so if you don't have a car it is hard to get there. But we rented some bikes and we could get to town in 20 min. We would like to come back in a warmer period to enjoy the pool and gardens a bit more.
We really liked the place with the garden, the animals and the outdoor spaces. Also the tent was very cozy and confortable. The food at diner and breakfast was also really good.

SwedenThe surrounding area doesn’t feel like we could walk around in the evening. There was no indoors place to sit after a meal and read or relax. there is place in the garden but not the winter days. This place is clearly designed for warmer weather.
The garden was very nice and the food was very good. The lady at the restaurant was really lovely.

Dominican RepublicThe dinner was of mediocre quality and had no flavor ( which is surprising ). For dessert, we had some crepes and they were cold. Quality of meals and cooking to be improved.
Mr Said was really great and he answered all the questions we had.

NetherlandsWe spent 31st night there. The property organised a dinner at a rate of 45 eur per person all inclusive. That’s a very good rate to pay for dinner at Ourzazate. However even after that we were charged on checkout for small items like desert coffee at an exorbitant rate. This was very unprofessional. We found our stay great but too expensive
Great ecological setup, nicely made tents and stays. Lovely facilities. The staff were very helpful and made us feel at home

SingaporeThe were lots of ants surrounding our bungalow which was worrisome but the majority of them did not enter our accommodation as we put a towel at the bottom of the door.
Our stay at Ecolodge La Palmeraie in Ouarzazate was a refreshing and peaceful stop on our Moroccan journey. This charming ecolodge offers a perfect blend of comfort and nature, with a focus on sustainability that enhances its authentic appeal. We stayed in a deluxe bungalow, and it was spacious, beautifully decorated with traditional Moroccan elements, and equipped with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The real treat, however, was the private rooftop terrace. It offered breathtaking views of the surrounding palm grove and the distant Atlas Mountains, making it the ideal spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. The tranquil atmosphere of the ecolodge, set amidst lush greenery and away from the city’s bustle, made for a perfect retreat. The grounds are peaceful and well-kept, with a blend of natural beauty and eco-friendly practices that enhance the experience. The staff were warm and welcoming & offered great service throughout our stay.

United KingdomIf you choose to eat in the city and/or do excursions, it can get expensive in taxi fares.
My family stayed in one of the small bungalows dotted around the immaculate gardens of this beautiful property. The accommodation was comfortable and it was useful to have our own fridge and kitchen area, as well as a separate outside seating spot. It was very quiet at night. Breakfast was delicious, fresh orange juice, lovely crepe-style pancakes as well as 'Berber omelette' (tomato sauce with eggs), traditional bread, eggs, jam and honey. The staff were really helpful, especially with organising transport into Ouarzazate, which is a 10 minute taxi ride away. It cost around 50DH each way into town if booked through the hotel. The hotel's real selling point is the garden which is beautiful, full of fruit and nut trees and a real haven. There are lots of seating areas and hammocks placed around the site. We swam in the pool, although it was extremely cold as it got pretty chilly at night in early November when we were there. We chose to eat in the city to get more of a feel for the place, the main square has lots of eateries and is a gathering point for families in the evening. We'd highly recommend this hotel.

AustraliaThe Ecolodge is an absolute sanctuary. Shady, cool with beautiful sustainable gardens and farm animals. It's a nice place to escape the dessert heat. The accommodation is great too, traditionally built and decorated in and amongst the gardens. Clean and spacious and the staff were friendly helpful.
