We stayed in the red room. It was one of the best riads we stayed in during our trip. Absolutly beautiful decor and so much natural light. The only downside is that we stayed here at the beginning of our trip and it kind of ruined the other riads for my mom as it set the bar so high! We did not mind that the balcony overlooked the inside of the hotel.

The apartment faces a inside street but it is quite noisy with people talking and bikes going around. The 1st night there was a wedding with music blaring till 2 am

We stayed in the apartment annex which was in another building away from main riad. The approach to this annex was slightly bad with trash around and the stairs to climb up were quite dark. But once you enter the apartment, it was cozy and spectacular with a lovely balcony facing the sea.

This was the second time my wife and I stayed in Chems Bleu. The riad is very popular. When we booked there was only the option of staying in the Rouge Room for our dates. The riad is in a good location and is easy to access if you enter the medina from the carpark at Bab Marrakech The Rouge Room was enormous with a mezzanine/loft bedroom as well as a large double bed and another single bed. One of the best features of the room was the small outside seating area that overlooked the lush garden interior. It was very relaxing to sit there and listen to and watch the house buntings and bulbuls flying between the banana trees. We are quite sensitive to humidity and the medina of Essaouira is prone to high levels of humidity; rooms can often feel very damp. Riad Chems Bleu was one of the better riads we've stayed in and humidity levels were lower than other places. The breakfast was good and the staff were professional and friendly. We would definitely recommend.

We loved everything about Chems Bleu it was home away from home for us from the reception staff, breakfast staff as well as the cleaning ladies always willing to assist, very polite and always going out of their way to assist. A big thank you to one and all.

Just the hair dryer was quite loud and not powerful, but unless you have a shower in the evening, you can rely on natural sun drying

Everything was delightful: - the owner and staff were super helpful and available for any issues, giving suggestions to go around the city and the best places to go for food. - the room and ambient was clean and had anything needed - the breakfast was top notch at their terrace, freshly made by the property with good quality ingredients and Moroccan style - the location is perfectly set in a quiet position although super close to the medina landmarks

The hotel was really clean (also, our room was cleaned every day), the staff very friendly and the breakfast was good as well. Furthermore, we also liked the location (close to the beach and parking lot) and the sea view from our room. We would 100% recommend this place!

Everything was great. Be mindful there’s lots of stairs. No restaurant at the Riad but plenty nearby.

Beautiful clean and welcoming property at the end of a covered lane within a five minute walk to the main souk. Our room (Verte) had gorgeous sea views and balcony. Breakfast room on top floor again with sea view.

We slept super comfortably even though our baby woke us up a couple of times in the night. The room is spacious and nicely decorated, with a good eye for matching details! We enjoyed the Moroccan breakfast on the rooftop terrace overlooking the beach of Essaouira .. We’ll definitely come back! On arrival we got given a map of Essaouira with many special (local) recommendations. Thanks!
