Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

This was my second stay at Dar Attajalli, and it was just as lovely as the first. The dar is quiet, beautifully appointed, and perfectly located near the main sights in the medina — easy to find again, even after getting lost in the maze of streets. Hamza was a warm and welcoming host, always ready to offer help or local tips. He even assisted me in contacting a tour operator and kindly lent me a battery pack for my phone. Breakfast was excellent, and I really enjoyed dinner at the dar on my first night. I’d thoroughly recommend Dar Attajalli to anyone looking for a peaceful and well-located place to stay in the medina.

United KingdomGreat riad in the middle of the medina. Facilities were very comfortable and clean with a great breakfast. Hamza was fantastic and could not do enough to help, including providing a takeaway breakfast for our early check-out. We would highly recommend this place. Fes medina is hard to navigate at first and Google Maps is not always reliable, so don’t hesitate to contact Hamza for help if you need it.

Dar Attajalli truly exemplifies Moroccan hospitality, with Hamza being an exceptional host. His thoughtfulness shows from the moment he meets us at the taxi stop, making the arrival seamless in Fes's winding medina. Throughout the stay, his readiness to assist with any need makes guests feel genuinely cared for. Though located on the ground floor, tour room offers great comfort. The riad's crowning feature is its magnificent terrace, offering breathtaking views over Fes's historic landscape. The good breakfast and the convenience of having an on-site restaurant add significant value to the stay, especially after a long day of exploring.

ItalyThe bed was pretty hard. And the toilet didn't flush properly. Also the property does not answer booking.com messages. But have faith, once you get there the manager Youssef will make you feel welcomed and special.
Checkout hours and breakfast hours are very generous. The breakfast itself was abundant and very nice. We also booked dinner and it was exceptional!!! I would say the best meal we had in our 10 day stay around Morocco. However, our stay couldn't have been this nice without Youssef. He really went out of his way to help us plan our way around, he organized dinner even when we came very late, helped us with tickets and was overall an amazing human being. The best customer service experience in a very long time. Shukran Youssef! I hope life is just as kind to you, as you are to all your guests

ThailandI recently had the pleasure of staying at Dar Attajalli in Fes, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. One of the highlights of my stay was the warm hospitality provided by Hamza. His dedication to making guests feel welcome is truly remarkable, and his service-minded approach is evident in every interaction. The rooms at Dar Attajalli are incredibly spacious, offering a perfect blend of traditional Moroccan decor and modern comfort. Each detail is thoughtfully curated to provide a serene and luxurious atmosphere. Breakfast at Dar Attajalli is a delight. The variety and quality of the food are outstanding, with fresh, local ingredients and traditional Moroccan dishes that provide a perfect start to the day. Overall, Dar Attajalli is a gem in Fes, and Hamza's exceptional hospitality makes it even more special. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an unforgettable stay in Fes.

FranceSo much to say. Riad Attajali is wonderful. The room is great. The terrace with a view of the Medina is a place where we like to stay. The manager is very friendly. 15 minutes from Bab Boujloud, we are in the Medina. The service is impeccable. The lamb tagine is excellent. Finally, the best for last. Hamza is a friendly, welcoming boy. He is ready to be of service. Hamza is an essential asset to this Riad. I will keep delicious memories of him. He became a Moroccan friend.

GermanyNot a criticism, but be aware that this is an old building and the stairs are narrow and steep.
We stayed for 4 nights. As it was January we had a little electroc heater in our room, that was quite warm and cosy. The house is in a side alley, but very close to one of the main routes in the medina. It was also very quiet. There is a great rooftop terrace that gives a view over much of the old town. We had breakfast every day and enjoyed it and also had dinner twice. For getting from and to the train station the staff arranged a transfer by taxi and then a porter with a handcart for our luggage.

United StatesCan't think of anything.
Staff were excellent. They arranged a English speaking guide for me and guide was excellent as well. For first time travelers staying in the Medina, get a guide for half a day. They show you all main parts of the Medina without getting lost, getting lost is part of the experience but to get most out your time. This isn't about Dar Attajalli itself but the experience of staying in the Medina. Due the Median having very narrow streets, cars can't drive to the Riad directly. Taxi takes you as close as possible to the Riad, from there a Porter in a buggy with take you and your luggage to the Riad. Since I had just arrived in Morocco, I didn't have small change, the staff paid the Porter and upon leaving when I tried to pay back, the staff didn't accept the fee for the Porter. United KingdomThe traditional decor and setting of the whole place takes you back in time. Absolutely beautiful. We stayed for a long weekend with our 2 children aged 4 and 7. Yusuf was very helpful and a great host. The medina is like a maze, so I would definitely recommend a guide! There is plenty to do and see around the area. Perfect for a few days away. Thank you for the great hospitality Yusuf. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to see you again in the future.
