Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Arab EmiratesThe price was queit expensive in morocco standards, so expected good, but in one of our rooms the bathroom light did not work and in the other one the shower head was broken so two persons from our group could not shower, we were two tired from traveling to raise these issue but we expected when we pay more money these things should be taken care off, it shows lazyness from the staff. One lady staff seemed slightly cold compared to the guy staffs. In other Dars and riads where we stayed we got a lot more hospitality, its not about money.
Nice location, decent moroccan simple breakfast, the room heater works, staff speaks english.

South AfricaTwo of the three beds were too low but had a comfortable sleep. Coffee was a bit cold with the breakfast but not a major issue. Would recommend the property as it ticked all the boxes. Thanks
The property was central to everything. Beautiful city. Stay was too short.

United KingdomIt’s hard for people having luggage, because you can’t park outside property, you have to walk on the small stone street. It’s not easy to find property.
Staff are very good. Their breakfast opens 8:30, because we have to leave early. So they do our breakfast at 8:00am. They are in the old town, so you can easily get on the square.

United StatesThe shower drains VERY slowly, so you get about 20 seconds of rinsing before you have to shut the water off to avoid flooding the bathroom. Also, after 10pm, there is no hot water. I was warned about that before booking, so I wasn't surprised, and it isn't that big of a deal for me, but it is good to know. The central courtyard echoes a TON. My first night there, someone was throwing a dance party from 9-10:30, and it was very loud. It didn't prevent me from sleeping, as I wasn't in bed yet, but just know it echoes a lot in the courtyard, so bring earplugs if you go to bed early or like to sleep late, as breakfast also echoes throughout.
What a cute little place! First, the location is great! It's quite close to the edge of the medina, which means only a short walk with your bags from the street drop-off. It is downhill a bit from the street, but it's not too steep and I managed the walk easily. The man from the front desk met me at my car and walked me to the riad the first time, saying it was difficult to find, but I didn't find it difficult at all. Apart from this and check-in, I never interacted with staff. Getting around the medina was easy and the location of Dar Chefchaouen was great for that. The room was nice and had a small view, but I was only on the 2nd floor, and there were rooms above me who probably had a great view. I was in the small double room, which was perfect for me as a solo traveler, and would be fine for a couple who doesn't have a ton of luggage. There was a TV, but I didn't use it. The best part of this property was that they have big towels. The towels were GIANT and I really appreciated it! They had the biggest towels of anywhere I stayed in my 2 weeks in Morocco. Amazing. They also had at least one room on the ground floor, so if you can't take stairs, you have an option. Breakfast was good, eggs, a crepe, bread, the typical moroccan breakfast as far as I've seen.

Location is excellent, just through one of the gates to the old town and with a tiny convenience store just round the corner. It's at the start of the tour suggested in many guide books. The staff are friendly and the rooms are adequate with a nice bathroom. There's a great roof terrace to hang out on too. Breakfast was pancakes bread and a selection of things to dip these into (peanut, honey, marmalade, cheese) yummy.

SpainThe location is good, but Google Maps locates you in another point, where some guys will guide you to the hostel, requesting you money for it Afterwards, the location isn't bad at all, it is in the center of all you have to see
The apartment was impressive, it has its own air conditioner, mini-fridge and private bathroom, with windows to the street Also the breakfast was amazing
