Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SingaporeWhile not exactly cold, maybe one more space heater (which the host did provide upon request!) would be good for cold winters. The toilet was also a little cold, but overall, would still 100% recommend!
Perfect stay, we loved it! Room was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated; it had a working fireplace and a space heater. Bedding and towels were clean. The room also opens up to a communal back patio. The food served at this place is wonderful and not expensive. The host is very friendly and helpful too. There’s parking right out front. Highly recommend.

NetherlandsNothing. It was perfect in so many ways. Heads up- no beer or wine available so BYO if you want a bevvy with dinner.
If you are on a long journey across the country, desert or Atlas, this is a fabulous stop on your way for lodging or even just a cozy meal. The hospitality and family atmosphere could not be beat. The food was out of this world and enjoyed on a scenic terrace overlooking the river valley. There isn't really a town per say, but this establishment seems to be the anchor in the area. We spent the afternoon playing Uno on the terrace followed by a homemade dinner in a private dining room. We slept well and enjoyed the immediate hot water and nice bathrooms (the hottest water on demand of our whole trip!). We stayed in the family style room and it was perfect for our family of 2 adults, 1 kiddo. After a filling breakfast the staff gave us directions for a hike to collect crystals and geodes. Hammer included! We'll never forget our stay at Dar Isselday. Huge thanks to the lovely staff and management. So glad we found you. Can't wait to send our friends your way.

Very welcoming staff, who wanted us to have a good experience. Amena was an excellent host, cook, and spoke good English which made it easier to communicate. Food was delicious and lattes were excellent! Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice terrace to eat and work at with view of river valley. Enjoyed trek into the river valley to find crystals, which were abundant. Easy to reach location right on the main road. This is a perfect place to chill, trek, and enjoy the views.

The view is amazing and leaves you lingering on the terras for hours. We also had dinner at the hotel which was a very nicely presented and very tasty dinner. One of the best desserts I had: potato cake! From the hotel are nice walks to the hills to finds Crystals. The owner gave me a hammer and bottle of water to take on the hike. United StatesAfter traveling Morocco for 2 weeks and staying in many riads and berber guest houses at all different price ranges, we still found Dar Isselday to be our favorite. Even though we were only staying here for a night while traveling from Marrakech to Merzouga, the stay itself was quite an memorable experience on its own. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly and welcoming host (Mohamed) who speaks fluent English, French, and Arabic. Mohamed is very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas (e.g. where to hike) and gave us many suggestions on what to visit beyond the common touristy spots. We followed his suggestion and stayed at a really nice Oasis the following day. After dinner, we got a chance to hang out with Mohamed who shared many interesting stories and insights regarding berber lifestyle and culture. It offered us a rare & honest glimpse into the life of a berber Moroccan. Even though the owner speaks very little English, throughout the night, he frequently checked in on us to make sure we were well accommodated. When he noticed that I was carrying a giant camera, he invited us to the rooftop which has a really beautiful panoramic view of the valley. The guest house is located in a picturesque valley and feels very serene. The guest house has an outside dining area in front of the main building that is extremely well decorated and maintained. You can tell just how much heart and effort the owner has put into this place. The attention to details is simply topnotch. The room has a traditional but modern berber architecture. On this trip, we stayed in several traditional berber guest houses. Even though they were interesting experiences, the living conditions can be quite rough at times. Dar Isselday, on the other hand, not only kept the traditional berber vibe but also included many quality of life improvements. It was surprisingly luxurious.

PortugalUnless you have a car there’s not much to do … I was told that they offer plenty of activities but during my stay no one talked to me about it . I know most of them were at villages so due to the earthquake makes no sense . But I would have loved to have had someone to guide me in tisseldaï to the best spots to find gemstones instead of doing it alone .
The place is beautiful, better than in the pictures . Rooms are spacious and comfortable . The terrace is gorgeous . Staff is nice . They have the sweetest cats I have ever seen in Morocco
