Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesThe only negative for this hotel was the stairs to get to the property. We had read other reviews before going so we were fully aware prior to arrival. I counted 159 stairs to the reception and another 20 - 30 to our room. The town is also very hilly so you'll get your exercise as a tourist here. If you can't manage this many stairs, find another hotel as there is no other way to get to it. My only other comment is it seemed a bit pricey but comparable to other 5 stars.
Newer feeling property with amazing views and awesome service. They did a great job communicating with us prior to arrival and had people waiting to grab our bags. The pool looked very inviting, but too cold in February when we were there. Food was also good (nothing amazing but also nothing bad). If I was to return to this town, I would definately stay here again.

I'm still reeling from my incredible stay here! The photos don't do this enchanting place justice. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted with tea and homemade cookies. Every detail is meticulously thought out, and the property exudes magic. The views are simply breathtaking – you can see the entire city! I firmly believe that staying here offers the best views of Chefchaouen. As a lovely surprise, my room was upgraded to the stunning Menorca room. Each room is immaculately clean, boasts its own unique personality, and is extremely luxurious. While there are stairs to climb, trust me when I say it's well worth the effort – heaven awaits you at the top! Conveniently, porters are available to assist with luggage. The culinary experience was exceptional, with dinner featuring the freshest, most delicious pasta I've had outside of Italy! The hospitality here is truly five-star. Despite my early 6 am departure, the kitchen thoughtfully prepared a wonderful to-go breakfast bag. I've never experienced this level of care and service. I wish I had one more day here, but I'll definitely stay here again if I return to Chefchaouen.

United StatesNo pain no gain when it come to the number of steps required to get to the room but it’s well worth it to see the spectacular views of the city.
A stunning property sitting high on the hill with breathtaking views! Our family suite room was perfect and we even took our dinner in the room it was so nice. What a service to offer the food to be delivered to your room!! The terraces were beautiful wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool. It looked so inviting.

Bjg thanks to Ayman - he js a very sweet person & special thanks for him taking care of us! Highly recommend this place. The location is amazing, you are at the entrance of the whole town & you have beautiful panoramic views of all of Chefchaouen. Food selection is authentic and some of the tastiest dishes we tried in Morocco. (Highly recommend the Lamb Tajine).

United Arab EmiratesReception staff at the check-in can do better. We were there post check-in time. Yet had to wait to get our room. Someone from the hotel to help carry the bags to the reception will be nice gesture as the climb is steep and several steps to climb.
Very beautiful hotel, design of the room and the hotel is very charming. Location is beautiful with a view of blue city, excellent food at the restaurant. Service staff at the restaurant are very good.

United StatesNothing really. But before you book, you should be aware that you have to climb quite a lot of steps from the car to the hotel….but that’s why the view is sooo amazing! If you have mobility issues…this is unfortunately not the hotel for you.
It has hands down, the best views of the entire city! I also liked its cozy resort style vibes with lots of pretty, cozy corners to chill and LOVE the pool! Had the best breakfast of my 3wks Morocco trip at this hotel….and I had amazing food in Morocco, so for their breakfast to stand out still, should say something😉

Saudi ArabiaI wish the hotel had an arrangement with the nearby parking's for guests with cars as it was a hassle to find a parking spot because of how crowded it was.
The views of the town from the hotel are outstanding! The food was good. Staff where very friendly and helpful. A big thank you to the staff member who helped me with my luggage as it was quite a journey to reach the hotel. (PS. Hotel is not accessible by car, you will have to climb about 100-150 steps to reach the hotel, yet once you reach it, everything was just rewarding!) I really enjoyed chilling by the pool overlooking the town.

United KingdomThe taxi driver we used through the hotel wasn't great, he drove dangerously fast and spoke on his phone for some of the journey.
Dar Jasmine is beautifully located, very close to the medina yet you feel you're nestled in a peaceful, calm oasis. The staff were great, very helpful and attentive. The bed is firm yet comfortable, very large. Facilities are great, clean and the hotel helped with booking a taxi from the port.
