Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThe bedroom is next to a noisy street and the windows are not really soundproof so it was loud and we had trouble to sleep.
Good location, everything clean, big room with nice touch, good breakfast and nice rooftop. Price was also really good.

Owner super reliable and kind. Accommodation is very central, not fancy but did satisfy our needs. It's not a new refurbished place, but cosy overall

United KingdomBed was super uncomfortable and needs replacing immediately. Very springy. Also the lady who did breakfast was not there on the second day so had to go out elsewhere for breakfast which was a bit annoying. Also, the bathroom which is described as "private" is actually across the hallway that other guest walk through to get to breakfast / roof terrace. Really not great for needing a midnight toilet break as well as showering in the morning. Finally, the shower was really bad pressure, not sure if this is a Marrakech thing but it was super difficult to shower due to this it, it got warm eventually but in January you could do with a proper hot higher pressure shower.
Great location in the main part of the city. Was clean and dark which helps with sleeping.

PolandThe shower hose was broken and there was no water pressure, so taking a shower was very difficult. The owner was informed about this issue and did nothing. There was a window in our room leading to the common area, so everyone could look into our room. The second window was leading to the busy street and it was very loud every night, because the window wasn't sound-proof at all.
The lady Fouzia who was making us breakfast was nice and friendly. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. You could go upstairs on the terrace and enjoy some sun in the center of the city.

MaltaNo hot water, the guy working reception was not helpful and told me he’s tired and needs to sleep when I asked him how to get to the airport. He seemed more interested in sleeping than helping guests. The room is very noisy at night.

United KingdomThe stairs on the top floor were a bit precarious but if you took care it was fine.
The staff were lovely and the view from the top terrace was fabulous. The location was great - right in the centre although I'd advise taking a photo of the door so you can find it again!

CanadaThe window opened into the Medina street and therefore it was quite noisy until about midnight, then after it was quiet. The bathroom is shared with another room, but it is clean and functional, and the shower was great. I was the only one there so it was no issue.
Very cute, little, traditional and simple house in the middle of Medina, authentic experience. The staff was exceptionally helpful, kind and caring, was there for me if I needed anything. He arranged taxi and an early breakfast. This is a budget place and it's of a decent value if you don't want to stay in the hostel. Overall I really liked it and for a short budget stay would take it over a hostel.

SpainRain poured in in staircase and airport pickup didnt turn up but still a recomendable place, a bit expensive for what it is...
Nice place, quaint, cosy but basic, toilet is ok, private but not in room, hot water, terrace ok. In general, not quite as luxurious as the photos suggest, Fusía made us a great breakfast and kept the place nice and clean..

United KingdomThe bathrooms were ultra-basic but that’s the only real comment.
Neat Riad in the heart of the Medina. Great location and the rooftop terrace on an evening is great to relax and listen to the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh life. Basic facilities but clean, comfortable and surprisingly quiet.

South AfricaThere was no one there when we arrived. They have two Riads and we had to pay someone 200DH to show us the way. He took us to the wrong one. Had to walk back all the way with our luggage in a very very busy street. There is no name on the riad, so we walked right past it! Very hard to find!
Everything was spotlessly clean and was cleaned every morning while we were there and the cleaning lady was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok. Ibrahim especially was very kind and friendly. He helped us with our luggage, came to enquire next day if all was well. The bed was comfy and the shower was good. No wifi when we arrived, but Ibrahim came to fix it the next day. Wifi excellent.

United KingdomLocation is very close to Jemaa el-Fnaa square, but it's on a very busy street. So lots of noise late into the night and very early in the morning from people and mopeds going down the street. Not sure if the rooms on the location on google maps would have been quieter or not. Very hot away from the fan in the room.
The location didn't exactly match what was on Google maps, so not sure if they placed us in another place not far away that is owned by the same people. We arranged a transfer with them, 150 MAD which is over double the price for a taxi from the airport but we think we would have trouble finding the place ourselves. Breakfast was good and grateful for the fan in the room also.

Netherlandsif you are a light sleeper like me then I would recommend bringing earplugs it is quite noisy outside because you are sleeping in the middle of the medina.
We stayed here for one night because we needed to catch our flight the next morning. It was an easy place to stay, everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Perfect for one night for us.

PortugalBeing close to Marrakech's main square made the experience a bit noisy, but that wasn't a severe problem at all.
The room that we were given was cosy and had enough space for 2 people. The staff was very helpful and wholehearted. I would totally repeat the experience if I could. Thumbs up for Sam and Abdel!
