The room felt freshly painted, humidand, it doesn't have window (only inside the courtyard). It was difficult to sleep and breath during the night, i woke up with headache. Rooftop could open sooner than 9am. We wanted to have breakfast at 8am but they were cleaning it.

Amazing staff, they let us checkin earlier and also helpped us print bus tickets in the morning. Rooftop has the best view on the ocean, you can admire waves and sunset while sipping pineapple smoothie and eating some tapas.

Very stunning view on the rooftop. Its so quit in the building in the late evening and at night. The crew are very friendly and relax. Fatima Ezzahra is an excellent host and very helpfull to everybody.

the hostel beautiful place to stay would be best one in essaouira , first experience for me stayed in hostel, all workers there cool and nice trating specialy the reception guy amine always helping and smile, and girl réception forgot her name , also the security guards professionnel , about cleaning excellent bathroom almost cleaning twice a day the terrasse excellent also the workers on terrasse they are cool makes you feel you owns the place , would like to visite soon as possible again i stayed almost 14 days .maybe you touch little humidity that normal because located in old city , all places close always to the sea has that problem humidity, that not big problem hostel has many windows fresh air Advantage close to beach , restaurants. Bar .night clubs close to shops...

Very fancy place and super cool vibes. I arrived late and had to leave early because of my travel arrangements but nothing but good things can be said about the kind staff and welcoming atmosphere of this great hostel.

The stay could be improved if the hostel organise some social events i.e. beach trips - wasn’t a problem as it was great place to stay and to disconnect.

The location of the hostel could not be better, it is located conveniently in the tourist centre of the medina but away from the bustle. I can highly recommend the seaview room - falling asleep to the sound of the waves was a trip highlight. The rooftop is great for morning coffee or sunset views.

It was a great place for stay, clean comfortable and in a great location. We got a room with a sea view which I would highly recommend!! A great addition was the restaurant on the roof which served lovely food!!

This place is a gem, it has a community feel to it and makes you feel like you are part of a family. The hostel is very clean and the beds are super comfy. I love this hostel and would enjoy coming back here

Loved the terrace. There was a young guy at reception who was extremely helpful (thank you!) There was a French guy who made excellent desserts that were available. Everyone was super friendly and I had a lovely experience. The terrace view is amazing and excellent for sunsets.

The dorms are really comfortable, and there is practically no noise. I loved the lounge and access to the terrace, which overlooks the beach and has a great sunset. It's my second year in a row visiting this hotel, and it never disappoints. The location of the hotel is perfect as it is in the heart of the old city and all the interesting shops are close by.

I enjoyed my stay in La Smala. The staff are extremely nice, especially Amine at reception. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The rooftop is gorgeous!

Excellent location, super friendly staff, comfortable bed, beautiful decoration. The rooftop views are breathtaking and the live music shows are the best by far, with excellent singers and artists. Also the location could not be better. Very young atmosphere and energy. The receptionist Amine was super kind and friendly! Definitely will be back!
