Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomEverything was good. Maybe the building's lift (elevator) was a bit shady, as it didn't want to work for me and it seemed to be without a door between floors, so I didn't use it. I had a small luggage so that was not a big issue for me. However, maybe it was just me and it was fine for others.
This apartment was in the heart of Tangier. It is on the top floor of the building (5th) with a nice terrace view over the city and sea and Gibraltar. Apartment was 7minutes walking distance from Medina and town centre. We enjoyed that it was a small and cozy flat with everything you might need, even a washing machine. There were also spare blankets, a hair dryer and bathroom toiletries. Everything was very satisfactory. Owner wrote us instructions on whatsapp on how to get in, as the key was in a safe box which needed a PIN code.

United KingdomThere's nothing the owners can do about this, but the apartment is situated next to a nightclub and there are some music noise issues in the early hours (but not too worrying). Easily solved by ear plugs, but my son (29 years) wasn't a bit concerned and refused my offer of plugs. Night club people friendly too. Invited us in as we were walking past. I believe for some readers these comments should be covered in the "like" section. Not possible to fully secure window locks, but security didn't seem much of an issue.
Wonderful attention from management from time of booking onward. Diligent, attentive and very thoughtful. I don't think I have had better travel care other than many years ago from my parents. I have stayed in the world's top hotels (whenever someone else was paying the bill) but once again, no better standard of care and concern. Nice people - always the most important aspect of the hospitality product. Good location in town.

United StatesThe rooms are very different from the photos in the listing. I've attached here a photo of the "2 rooms" advertised on booking.com, compared to the "Reality" -- one very cold room in an apt with NOTHING similar to what's advertised. We were so surprised by this that we even thought that we were given the wrong room! There's no elevator so you have to lug your luggages up 5 flights of stairs to reach the room. Right next door is a dance club/disco(?) whose music is so loud you'll hear it well into the midnight (The property EVEN GAVE you EARPLUGS). The furnitures, etc. have hand-me-down qualities. The electric kettle provided did not work and still have some water from the previous guest.
This apartment is on one of the small side streets by Faro Plaza where the busy nightlife is, so it's within easy access to food, drinks, entertainment (musicians performing on the plaza), shops, etc. You open the balcony and you look left to watch sunset over the Tangier harbor.

NorwayNoise from the night club below, No hot tub despite the fact it was mentioned in the description Tiny shower together with a toilet with no ventilation in it Furniture is worn out Kitchen looked not clean the address in booking confirmation was wrong, communication with the host was not smooth so we did not get correct check-in info in time and we had to climb 10 floors up without an elevator only to find out that this was the number of an apartment we were looking for did not exist in the building. We managed to find the correct one with help of local guys. Another point: keys for the apartment and (!) building entrance are inside the building, by the apartment. So, first you have to enter the building which can be tricky if the door is closed. And, when you check out, you have to close the door, go down 4 floors, open the entrance door, go back, put the keys into the lock box and then go down again. Not very convenient, especially with heavy backpacks. Bad sound isolation between apartments, you can hear your neighbors breathing, singing, everything.
Nice view and spacious balcony, central location, host brought us a heater when we asked for it
