Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsThe beds are like sleeping on concrete, really too hard. While we where staying there was a festival all night close-by which you could hear really good. Not the lodge’s fault, but something you might want to take into consideration while booking a stay.
Had an amazing time, most helpful staff willing to do everything for you. They even had their driver run an errand for us since we forgot to take it with us. We liked that it is a small camp which really gives a nice atmosphere and a relaxed stay.

United KingdomI can honestly say that there is nothing we did not like. everything was superb.
This entire experience was unbelievable! I took my partner there for his birthday as a surprise and everyone at the lodge was incredibly helpful in helping me prepare the nicest, most intimate and delicious birthday dinner for my partner! In addition, they were super nice and friendly. I could not recommend this place more! Hamza and the staff also replied to all our questions promptly, both before and during the stay, helped us rent a buggy to explore the desert and always went the extra mile for us!

United KingdomVery windy (not the camps fault obviously) but means the tents are very noisy in the night in the wind. They were very secure but in that sort of wind, its inevitably going to be noisy! The kids slept through it amazingly but I struggled!!
Beautiful location and views. Tents were beautifully furnished. Staff were lovely and able to help with anything we needed. Food was great, and there was even a fire in the pit area and music which we loved.

United KingdomThe service was lacklustre. The pool freezing cold. There was no choice at breakfast and they tried to overcharge on a few things. We booked an activity, got the kids out of the pool to get them there in time and then they kept us waiting for over half an hour beyond the booked time (time the kids could have spent in the pool playing, had they just come and let us know they were running late). Lots of reviews said how great it was that they came and lit the fire during dinner in the rooms but we did not have that any night despite being there during an almighty storm. It felt like the staff really didn’t want to be there.
The tent/accommodation was nice and roomy. The activities we did were really good and fun.

NorwayIt is like a hostel in the desert. Threadbare towels, sunbeds that have seen better days. Staff were friendly, but they remained behind the check in area, almost not aware that they should be running a hotel with any customer service. The arrival transfer was a local taxi with no air con and with windows open through the desert we arrived very dusty. At breakfast none of the tables were cleared until every table was used up. Having stayed at other camps in Agafay, this was the worst.
The views from the pool were stunning.

Switzerland- no explanation (e.g. Info about breakfast hours) given when checking in - room not ready at 3pm (cleaning staff was not ready) and no excuse given - Overall it could have been cleaner e.g. Sand in the pool, dirty sundbeds, torn old towels at the pool, stainy towels & bathrobes - no cold bottle of champagne at stock - the safe was closed when we came (wasn't checked when the previous guests Check-out?) - no telephone in the room/no way to contact staff rather than walk up to the reception
- relaxing stay with very calm vibe (not a lot of instagramers and no day tourists such as in the other Camps) - evening programm with local music, dancers and camp für was nice - Food was very nice - even the glutenfree bread was very good - friendly & helpful staff (yet lacking some professionell skills one would expect at this price level) - warm rooms as the tents are really containers

United KingdomIt lacks any real atmosphere or style as the pool and restaurant are set up for approx. 100 people but there are really only enough tents/beds for less than 50 people so a lot of empty places ….the service is average as is the food sadly
It has a huge pool and otherwise is as described amazing setting in the desert, exceptionally peaceful

ItalyThe staff does not speak English very well so sometimes they misunderstand requests. Moreover, the offer of the food is very poor and not so good. In the room there is not an hairdryer.
Position in the middle of nowhere is excellent. We took a suite and the room is very spacious and clean. The bggy experience was great and funny, however, the mask was bvery bad quality and all the sands and dust inside the eyes was not super good.

United StatesA British pop singer was shooting a music video at the camp, right in front of the pool and restaurant. The bright flood lights, music, and truck engines went until 9:30PM. This interrupted the camp's peaceful environment; we could not sit outside and watch the stars come out. (The manager apologized and invited us to stay a second night - a kind offer that we could not accept due to our travel schedule.). But for the music video, Oxygen Lodge would easily be a 10/10 rating.
Amazing facilities overlooking a beautiful, but barren desert landscape. Our tent was large and the bed was quite comfortable. The restaurant was great. The best feature is the staff. They are lovely and offer to help with anything. Our favorite: they came around in the evening to start fireplaces in the tents.

BelgiumOur thinking, was that we will gonna relax, well it did not go as planned, during the night we had to wake up every 2 hours to add wood on the fire, as our first night from 5-9 AM as we were tired, feel asleep and we freeze. We found it overrated, as all the trip, and came back exhausted.
The view ! The sky full of stars. The staff is kind. The outside fire at night with the musicians was l lovely.
