Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustriaThere are better locations in the Medina, it’s more in the local area and not so nice to walk home during the night. It‘s very loud, also during the night and the entrance is in a dark street and you always have to wait until someone opens the door for you, because they don‘t give you keys for the main door. The room was not ready when it was indicated and there were not enough towels, also the cleaning ladies did not lock our rooms again after cleaning during the day. The bathroom is not really what you would expect from a 5 star apartment and there wasn‘t a lot of kitchen equipment available. There was also not much choice for breakfast. They have a lot of cats in the Riad which can become annoying at some point.
Very spacious apartment with 2 terraces, your own kitchen and 2 bedrooms Friendly host

GermanyIt’s difficult to find the way to the hem al fan, at night it’s absolutely not considered for ladies . The Bab al Aylan district is different from other districts around the medina. In the Riad: The spa is not working, tea costs 150 dirham, dinner 300. These prices are not in the range for the quality. The room is small and not well ventilated. The Riad is loud . The first Riad where I didn’t feel well.
The two guys which run the daily business were extremely friendly and helpful.

Netherlands1. The room was in the ground floor so we were disturbed late night and early morning when there were guests or anyone sitting in the courtyard. 2.The courtyard was cold but there was no warmth set up. 3. Handles in the room were broken and it well it was not maintained as there was a lot of musty/dust smell in the cupboards. 4. The staff at the reception is also the one who helps with breakfast so the poor man had to run around a lot . This place definitely requires more staff
The staff is really good. Yaseen tried everything he could to help us out whenever we had a question.

United KingdomSadly there was no room at the property for us so after dinner we were transferred to a nearby riad. They’ve lost some rooms due to the earthquake and were overbooked so we were transferred to another riad nearby, which was fine but just not where we booked! Also a bit frustrating to check in twice as we wanted to get out to the market at night.
We were welcomed and the team were absolutely brilliant, so friendly and had set up dinner for us despite arriving quite late.

GermanyNegatives: -the hotel is very old and hasn’t been renovated in a really long time. If you like this kind of vibes, this is the place for you. -location: you need at least 20 min walking through crazy busy streets to get to downtown, no restaurants are close by so you always have to walk far. The area is not very touristic and more local; -breakfast is very basic. 2 pieces of crepes with Marmelade and honey and 2 pieces of locally baked bread/pancake kind specialties every day, no eggs, no fruits.
Positives: -The staff at the property is the biggest highlight of our stay. -internet connection was good to work remotely and do video calls

CanadaOur bathroom sink and shower drain were not the best. The water did not drain properly and did so very slowly. The shower head did not stay in its place and kept dropping off, which can be dangerous if the heavy metal end falls on a guest's foot! Please fix these for the next guests.
The host and the staff are great and helpful. The inside decor is nice. The host was super nice to send her staff to meet us at the street entrance as a guide. The same staff member also helped us to the nearest taxi stand.

GermanyWhile our stay at the hotel was overall very enjoyable, there were a few minor drawbacks that we noticed. Upon our arrival, we noticed a strong smell of chlorine coming from the pool in the middle of the Riad. Additionally, the hotel's location was a 20-minute walk away from the Medina, although the walk was relatively easy and provided a glimpse into the authentic side of Marrakech. Finally, we did notice that the hotel itself seemed a bit dated, although the price point was excellent for the value offered.
In this hotel you'll be welcomed with open arms by Ayoub, the most incredible receptionist. Ayoub is not just friendly and supportive, but he goes above and beyond to ensure that your stay is nothing short of perfect. And you can really tell that his warm hospitality and service is not just put on, but it truly comes from his heart. He spread good vibes across the whole hotel and his knowledge of the local area was invaluable. Anyone who stays here will be blown away by Ayoub's kindness, warmth, and exceptional service!!

GermanyWe were asked to pay EVERYTHING in cash. Although the credit card served as a guarantee, the defective device simply had to be replaced. You can’t ask tourists to withdraw large sums of money and carry them halfway through Marrakesh. It’s a NoGo.
Youssef & Soufiane were outstanding. The Ladies who kept our apartment clean, too. The Riad is a beautiful, great place.

United KingdomThe worst location. When we arrived the front door was open but no one was in reception or picking up our calls, when they finally came and my friend questioned the safety of the riad as people had followed us there and the door was open, the guy at reception reassured her that it was perfectly safe to stay here and we would be fine. First night we come back during the night, no key to the front door and are waiting outside for someone to open the door, had to ring the door bell five times baring in mind the area is not safe at alll, worst part of the medina. Then the next morning he told us we don’t have to ring the bell 5 times and need to be patient? At 5 in the morning when we’re stuck outside as none of the keys given to us work on the front door and no one is answering??? Then later that evening we are going to a restaurant and ask him to order us a taxi as didn’t feel safe walking out and looking for a taxi at this time to which he said you can get one from the Main Street and told us to walk down there, which is where my friends phone was then robbed. When we asked him the next morning why he didn’t just get us a taxi he said he assumed we wouldn’t be willing to pay €20 and since we managed to get around fine the day before we can do it by ourselves again? No sympathy what so ever, and we went out during the day before, not at 10pm. What he was saying also wasn’t making sense as he told us during the night that the police came and spoke to him and said they couldn’t find the phone in the location on find my iPhone but then in the morning said they only came and took his details and nothing else, not really adding up? The women working there were lovely and the breakfast was great however if you care for your safety at all, I honestly wouldn’t stay here, especially as a women.
the breakfast was good & the women working there were extremely nice
