Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesNo prices on menu led to being significantly overcharged for (an otherwise good) dinner.
Lovely simple, well run riad in center of Medina. Charming and attentive staff. The rooftop terrace is delightful and the food very good.

GermanyWe felt from the first second really welcomed. It is a beautiful Riad where tradition meets modern design. you could really see the love to the detail. The Host was really friendly and we felt welcomed. The breakfast was as well really traditional. I would recommend that peaceful Riad to my friends and family.

GermanyWe had to wait for 10 minutes for warm water and then water pressure and temperature would play games (jump/change).
The most beautiful Riad we have stayed in Morocco, everything is like in Instagram, you can't stop taking pictures. The manager/owner must have so much love to details as everything was designed with such love. We also liked the shower gel and shampoo as they were of a high quality and a gratis bottle of water every day.

United StatesThe outlet on my side of the bed were all used up by modem equipment. The bedside lamp was not plugged in due to lack of available outlets. Couldn't charge my electronics in convenient place. But obviously not a dealbreaker, just a suggestion to get an extension cord or something.
Very friendly staff. Very nice breakfast. Our room (Jasmine) had direct access to the rooftop which was beautiful. Good wifi. Room looked exactly like picture. Very beautiful. Easy to find from the train station. GPS was able to direct us for a 10 minute walk. Would definitely stay again!

CanadaNot worth what we paid. The cleanliness of the room left much to be desired: the toilet had not been cleaned properly, tables looked like they had never been wiped down, hair on bed linens. It doesn’t seem like they do a proper cleaning of anything, just the bare minimum. Breakfast is mediocre at best.
Decor; staff were somewhat helpful and friendly when they weren’t on their phones.

United StatesWe were not warned about the many steeps steps (especially problematic as we had large suitcases). Inadequate services in room - only hand towels & robes, one toilet paper roll, dusty bedsheets.
Conveniently located. Attractive shared spaces and terrace.

FranceThe location is not very well desserved. You can't park around, you need to park at least 900m away from the hotel. The food was not good, even though it seemed to be homemade. Breakfast is not a buffet, and not very generous with the food. I do not recommand at all to take the full board nor half board.
The staff is very friendly. The tea was really nice. Seems authentic and old style but yet there is something missing always

Portugal- In a nutshell: The day manager's customer service is below par and he is not suited to work in the hospitality industry. Very slow, unenthusiastic, unapologetic and can't be bothered about mistakes such as the taxi not being there on arrival or a guest being up half the night due to the noise disturbance which could have been avoided. - Our room was located at the front and the street noise was the worst we've ever experienced while staying in a riad! It was like partying in our room next to our bed until 4am. There must be double glazing as although we wore semi-pro earplugs the noise was unbearable. - Arranging the taxi transfer from the airport was already a challenge, it took a few emails and messages before we got an answer. We wanted a pick up organized by the riad as our late arrival time so we didn't have to walk around in the middle of the medina with our suitecases. Unfortunately no one was waiting for us at the airport which was not a good start and didn't feel very welcome. We could have ended up in an unsafe situation. The response from the manager on duty was very apologetic, but the member of staff responsible for the mistake when we spoke to him the next day was not sorry and not bothered at all. He just acknowledged it was his mistake and then shrugged his shoulders. - We asked by email if it was possible to order some food upon arrival, which was confirmed, but we couldn't order anything and got some sweet biscuits instead. - Breakfast was poor with limited choices until we asked the 2nd morning...we got scrambled eggs and yogurt. This should be offered on the first morning! - Dinner was not very tasty, flavourless and expensive. MAD 150 for a chicken leg with breast, no vegetables or other side dishes is a rip off. Have to say the desert was very tasty!
Positive The photos on Booking.com and Instagram do match reality. Room/price quality was ok and the room was clean. We had the smallest room, but that was the only one available. The roof terrace is very nice!
