Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe liked everything.
We loved the location and our host was so kind, thoughtful and helpful. He even arranged two fun and interesting guided walks for us. He was also an excellent chef! Considering the terrible damage caused by last year’s earthquake the Riad was in excellent condition and surely will improve even more in the coming year.

United KingdomAs we stayed in December, it was cold at night. The only heating is from the fireplace. So the room got a bit smokey at night.
This locally family run riad is a gem. It’s like staying at your aunt’s place. The room is massive and beautifully decorated. This is a place to rest, contemplate and chill. There is nothing much to do here other than sitting on the rooftop terrace and enjoy the view of the lake. At night you’ll see thousand of stars. You can go for a walk around the lake and stop by the cafe opposite on the main road for a cup of nous nous. The food here is amazing. We had breakfast and dinners here during our stay and the lamb tagine was super. The service is very friendly but not intrusive.

GermanyNothing! It was excellent and we can truly recommend this stay! Even though the region was struck by an earthquake, the people there are warm, welcoming and very friendly.
We visited the Riad after the earthquake and we couldn’t have been happier. Our stay at Riad Diwane was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome and made to feel right at home. The owner and his family went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and the dinner and breakfast they prepared for us were simply amazing – a true culinary delight! What truly sets Riad Diwane apart is the genuine warmth and hospitality of the entire family. We felt like cherished guests throughout our stay, and we can't wait to return. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!

United KingdomThis is really my fault for not checking - the rooms would benefit from either a fan or A/C but we had chosen to go during an extremely hot period and evidenced by a used fireplace in the room, I am sure it is cool enough in other months.
Breakfast was lovely. Evening meal was also fantastic!!

BelgiumWifi was only available in one of the rooms. Just a small detail, which I didn't want to discuss, but which left a slight disappointment after a nice stay, check the extra charges like bottles of water (30 MAD for 2 when we paid 30 for 6 the day before).
We enjoyed the comfortable rooms and the very nice breakfast, and particularly the pool after a week trekking in the mountains! The host and his family were very nice. Dinner was very tasty too. We enjoyed the hike through Berber villages with the host.

United KingdomLimited food options nearby. So we had dinner on site for 100 MAD per person, the dinner was very nice but more expensive than Le Mouflon which we had eaten earlier in the day for 130 MAD in total. We were offered a big bottle of water with dinner, which they tried to charge us 20 MAD before we left (3 times the price of what you can buy in the shops). They didn't charge us for this in the end, but this left a bad last impression after a nice stay. There's no dedicated parking on site, but you can park along the main road at the bottom by the Riad Diwane sign rather than where Google maps takes you.
Beautiful location overlooking the mountains and lake. Very quiet, particularly after two nights in Marrakesh. Well located for starting hikes to visit Berber Villages and a mountain bike tour. Pool is very nice for cooling down in the heat. Host helped us arrange a mountain bike tour around Ourigane with a guide in the afternoon when we arrived - always negotiate the price!

Wonderful host, great cook, outstanding location in the middle of mountains with views. Our room was spacious, cool, and comfortable - even though there was no air conditioning. Pool was refreshing after a wonderful arranged guided hike through the surrounding villages by our host. We enjoyed spending time interacting with the friendly family. Free parking on street. Heads up if you are a light sleeper, there is a mosque next door but as I used ear lugs it wasn't an issue.

New ZealandWhile the room was really cute, it wasn't very clean. The sheets hardly fit onto one of the beds so would wake up on the bare mattress. Shower was often barely warm enough and we found dinner to be quite expensive compared to elsewhere we've eaten in Morocco.
Cute little place in the centre of town with a lovely swimming pool/terrace area overlooking the lake. Our host was a nice man always willing to help when asked. He arranged a great guide for us to visit a Berber village...really worth doing while there.

AustraliaRadwane and his family are dedicated to ensuring your stay is pleasant and that you have everything you need. His mothers food is as good as you will find anywhere in Morocco. They are caring and attentive people, helping me to discover the local villages with a guide, and organising transport to and from Marrakech. The cosy living room with fireplace is a perfect spot to kick back with a book and forget you had to spend time in Marrakech in a continuous tourist trap.

MoroccoThe food! We ate two meals at Riad Diwane and both of them - especially the chicken tanjine - was out of this world. Everything is cooked family style and traditionally, and the quality is better than any restaurant we went to in Morocco. The staff even found us late-night melon. A lovely place to relax in the mountains.

RomaniaWe arrived and there was no food ready for us. We were starving a d we had to wait 3 hours for the lady to make some tajine which was very small portions. We are a family of four none of us had enough, but this is typical Morrocco I guess. The hallway where you eat and watch tbe view and our room were not heated in advance. We were freezing cold while eating and also when staying in the room. We would expect that when you await guests in almost January in a small village where you don t get many tourists, you would at least heat the rooms in advance. The lady does not speak english at all, not even french. And also she cannot read letters or numbers, she can only speak arabic. Thus, we had an extremely hard time understading each other. In order for her to understand thag we want food, she had to call her son who knew some english in order to translate to her. Also, really hard time to tell her that we wanted woods to heat. We had to show her photos of wood on the phone to.understand. The night came and we went to.our room. The room was freezing cold and we turned on the air conditioner on the maximum 31 degrees in order to heat, but it did not heat at all. We ASKED the lady for woods for the chimney, she did not bring them voluntarily even though it was FREEZING (I can t stress this enough). She brought 2 small pieces of wood. They lasted for 1 h and 30 minutes then my brother went down the stairs to get ourselves some more, because as soon as the fire was out, it was instantly cold, as the room did not keep the heat trapped. He came back up with one small piece of wood and one bigger piece. 2 minutes passed after my brother came up with the wood and the lady knocked at the door, as if she tailed him upstairs. We opened tne door and she entered intrusively (we did not tell her that she could come in) with two smaller pieces of wood than the ones my brother got. As soon as she entered the room she started gesticulating and making gestures in order to.commumicate...
We liked the view from the hallway.
