Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomFabulous riad! Second time in Marrakech and so glad we stayed here. The staff were brilliant! We stayed in the room on the top floor which was lovely to walk out to in the morning. The pool was an added bonus! Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again

NorwayThe location is by a very busy road, so be prepared to dodge motorbikes. There was also no alcohol at the property but this could have just been because of Ramadan.
Beautiful rooms, and a lovely roof terrace. Super helpful staff, great breakfasts and the toiletries provided were lovely.

United KingdomSome people may not appreciate the fact you cannot get a taxi to the front door of the Riad, however in the old city of Marrakesh this is the norm. It is part of the culture and the staff were always on hand to assist.
An oasis of tranquility in the heart of a bustling old city. This is a beautiful Riad with excellent rooms, food and facilities. What really makes it stand out is that the staff are fantastic and they did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing.

Gibraltarbreakfast pancakes were not the best and at other riads they don’t limit you to 1 pancake per person for breakfast. If you ask staff to help you organise something remember to haggle. One of them tried to sell me a week holiday travelling around quoting 1,500 euros when the driver I had been using quoted 1,000 euros for the exact same thing!
Property was great, well maintained and is a short walk from the main square.

United KingdomThe only downside to our stay was that you weren’t given a key to the main door of the Riad, so you had to knock to gain entry. Most of the time this wasn’t a problem as the staff were quick to let you in with a smile, however after going for an explore of the new city and getting back to the Riad at 3am, there was no answer. The Riad says it has a 24hr desk, however after arriving back and knocking quietly (as requested) we were left outside for 30+ minutes, with a guest finally letting us in. I’m sure this is a rarity, but I feel there should be a key to the front door provided. Other nights arriving back at 12/1am were absolutely no problem getting in.
Riad Livia was a superb place to stay while visiting Marrakesh. Only a 15 minute walk to the main square, the Riad is in a super location. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the rooms were clean and beautiful, and the rooftop terrace was relaxing. The pool on the roof I’m sure is a delight in the summer, however it is not heated so was more of a plunge pool in January for those daring enough to take a dip! We had breakfast at the Riad which was a delicious spread, with fresh orange juice, coffee, croissants, eggs, bread, pancakes, jam, honey, butter, all really filling you up for the day! We also had dinner there on the first night which was traditional Moroccan cuisine, which was delicious and great value for money. Our overall experience of the Riad was superb.

IrelandWe spent three nights at Riad Livia and absolutely loved it. From start to finish the staff were attentive, friendly and made us feel at home. While located quite centrally, the Riad serves as a break from the chaos of the Medina. The rooms are spacious, decor is beautiful and the rooftop is a great spot for the sunset. The breakfast was also 10/10. Yusef, Simon and Mohammad were all fantastic! Yusef even walked us to meet our taxi driver before heading to the airport. We would recommend it to anyone visiting Marrakech!

ItalyNothing- all was perfect to me!
I had an incredible stay at Riad Livia, and the experience was beyond my expectations! The location is absolutely perfect, within walking distance of all the major attractions, making it easy to explore Marrakech. The staff were exceptional—super friendly, welcoming, and always helpful, ensuring every aspect of my stay was seamless. Their breakfast was simply amazing, a perfect way to start the day. The riad itself is stunning: beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and truly an oasis of peace in the heart of the city. The lovely terrace is a wonderful spot to relax and unwind. If I’m ever in Marrakech again, I’ll definitely return to Riad Livia. Highly recommended!

United KingdomI loved the lighting which set off the beautiful decoration and artwork inside each of the rooms, although when the doors were closed and the lights were off, I sometimes felt it could be helpful if there was an additional lights that could be switched on for Reading or things like that as it was quite dark. I love the traditional bath and taps and the water was hot, even though you had to wait a little while for it to warm up . I tried to avoid getting the shower water go over the edge of the bath onto the floor but I failed in that endeavour and felt guilty and slightly irritated that I couldn’t stop it happening. I wonder if something to soak up the water might help because it only makes more work for the maids when they clean it in the mornings. I love the scent and the supply of the shampoo and bath wash and oils and creams but I always struggle to open the type of press button that releases the contents but that’s just my problem not yours. The only real negative I can think of that might be considered to be avoided would be the possibility of allowing some kind of digital or card payment for the incidental extras that added to the bill when you order meals and drinks and so on because I panicked slightly on the last day when I’d run out of cash suddenly realising that I had to go to a rather overly used ATM machine to get the money and get back to the hotel in time for going to the airport.
After an initial shock as I arrived around sunset and walked through the dark alleyways and scaffolding caused by the earthquake of last year wondering if I was going to the right place I felt an extremely warm welcome on arrival when I found the front door. I loved the fact that the property was decorated in a traditional Moroccan style and was not too large with only a few rooms available, which meant it was quiet as well as cozy. Apart from the beautifully appointed and clean rooms, and a lovely rooftop terrace with its pool which in the winter of course not many brave souls would use but the lighting and the setting was absolutely magnificent and very romantic. The Dutch owners obviously chose well with their employees because both the ladies who worked as maids or in the kitchen were always ready to help and with a warm smile and above all the three men who managed the property and Reception during my five days stay specifically Mohammed, Yousef, and Simon , could not have been more helpful. As I get older, my mobility is not as reliable as it used to be and they went out of their way to direct me to where I needed to go even though I occasionally got lost. I don’t walk as quickly as perhaps they do so suggest they exaggerate the time it takes a little to get from A to B so I don’t end up rushing. They all deserve a medal for putting up with me.

Belgium(Not the riad’s fault but just to warn you: parking is very nearby but DO NOT use Waze to guide you there because it will send you through the smallest streets which is impossible. Use google maps and then it’s very easy! There will be boys who tell you that the street or the parking is closed but just ignore them, parking is open until 00:00.)
We absolutely loved our stay here. It’s incredible how it’s located in the middle of such a busy village and is so quiet and peaceful: the perfect escape from all the noise, with everything in walking distance. They really created a wonderful atmosphere. The rooms are extremely pretty, the terrace is great with a lovely sunbed. The staff is VERY nice. The breakfast very tasty. Would 100% recommend and come back here every time.

United KingdomNot their fault but it’s a bit of a distance from the main attractions of the Medina and the main square (10 minutes walk when it’s not busy … ) and it’s down a side alley with a number of collapsed buildings from the earthquake last year. That said it did not feel at all unsafe and the staff walked and met us from the transfer and took us to meet any taxis we’d booked.
Very clean, beautifully decorated, serene and comfortable. Lovely roof terrace too
