Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesIt's awesome if bathrooms can be renovated in the near future, although it's functioning well right now.
Simple breakfasts with crepe, Moroccan tea and coffee, prepared early in the morning to fit our schedule. We couldn't thank the housekeeping lady enough for her dedication and friendliness despite of the language barrier. We love the decor of the riad too. It's well decorated for the travelers to experience a real Moroccan traditional home. The host was friendly and took care of us well.

United KingdomNothing but always a bit of room for improvement, the bathrooms could do with a refresh, breakfasts could have a touch of variety, perhaps an egg? And a first world problem, how about a sun lounger on the roof terrace ;)
Lovely property in a great location, that gave a great break from the hurly burly of the sound. Lots of room for our group of 5. Loved the roof terrace and decor. Very clean and comfortable. Ismail was fabulous, trustworthy and helpful. Did everything he said he would.

IrelandThe whole RIAD is beautiful, you want to see authentic Morocco architecture you should stay here, every room was amazing. The mosaic walls, the windows outer and inner stone glass, so the light was so colorful in every room. The hand crafted wooden doors. There are 2 terraces 1 where you can just lie down look at the stars, the 2nd covered with couches and a table so you can sit in the shade. Breakfast is downstairs in a lovely sitting room where when you look up can see the banisters to the rooms, so very open and airy. Saida was there to make sure we did not run out of coffee or bread, the jams were lovely, the pancakes, 1 wee thing and I am sure if we mentioned to Saida she would have cooked some for us but eggs would have been a bonus :-) The location is excellent only 10/15 mins walk from the Medina and a safe walk :-) We were going to the Gnaoua festible in Essaouira and wanted to get a bus there, Esmail kindly and wisely suggested he phone Supatours for us and it was fully booked at the time we wanted he then asked when there were 6 free seats and booked straight away on his card, charging us no different than if we got the ticket at the bus station. Now that I have found this gem I will never stay in another RIAD in Marrakesh and I have stayed in a few as have been going to Morocco for years. Enjoy your visit to Morocco.

SpainFor the price we paid we could not complain about anything! Excellent value for money. A wardrobe in the main double would have been good as would a full length mirror somewhere. The bathrooms are tired, but again, this is amazing value for money and I would happily return! The double bedroom onto the alley side was noisy but the other 2 bedrooms, the twin and the upper double very quiet. Would be nicer if the cook didn´t make so much noise early in the morning...
Location excellent. Breakfasts very good. Ismael was a fantastic host. I thoroughly recommend his tours, a fraction of the cost you pay on the internet and excellent guides. Around €80 for a family private day trip with air con car, guide fluent in English. The tours we did through him made our trip! The Riad was typical, making you feel less like a tourist! The roof terrace was lovely as was the inner terrace. The live in cook, we hardly saw her, but she was lovely. I thoroughly recommend a meal at the Riad 1 night, as it was the best meal we ate in Marrakech! But...be hungry as quite a feast!!

We have booked last minute for one night and the host was not personally there, but was available on Whatsapp to answer all our questions. Also the housekeeper Saida was very helpful and despite the language barrier we managed to communicate perfectly. Another advantage was that we could leave our luggage in Riad for a couple of hours after our check out. Great location.

RomaniaThe breakfast- is was a bad joke - a sad pancake, a triangle of cheese, some margarine 😲, jam and coffee. Also, the personnel staying at he location doesn't speak a word in English and used to talk loud on the phone at bed time.
My room, although there are 3 different rooms, with very different furniture. The smallest one has twin beds, and is very ordinary. No window from that one. the middle one has a large bed, but almost nothing else, except wardrobe and it's own bathroom. The nicest one is large and has a bed and a couch but no wardrobe, no hangers, nothing to put your clothes.

United StatesWe communicated ok, but my lack of French and Arabic was a detriment, however everyone tried hard and the host also spoke Italian. The surrounding area, not the riad, was somewhat dirty.
Breakfast was very good, provided by the live-in housekeeper Saida, a very nice lady. The riad was quite roomy with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths scattered over the 2nd and 3rd floors. There was also a terrace. The owner gave me a motorcycle tour around the local area, which was exhilarating and very Moroccan! The tagines and pastillas that Saida prepared for a couple of dinners were amazing.

United KingdomIt wasn’t kid friendly at all. As soon as we arrived the housekeeper was shushing the children and the owner was asking for them to sit and watch tv. The housekeeper shushed the children throughout the stay no matter what time of day it was and no matter how quiet we tried to be. It was very uncomfortable. The en-suite to the master bedroom was too stinky to use, had to keep the door shut tight as it made me feel sick. The breakfast was pretty rubbish, it was a Moroccan pancake each and bit of bread with butter and jam but it was all just from the freezer, not freshly made or bought.
The interior was nice. Nice big bed in the master bedroom.

United KingdomThe location was absolutely horrific with so much smell and dirty everywhere. My kids wanted to come back after seeing the location where riad was. The owner didn't speak English at all which made our life hell. We slept on same bedsheets for 6 days and he never changed it. He was good at keeping an eye on if we switched air con and lights off before going out. Never asked if we were ok and needed anything. Breakfast was included but it was just dry bread n butter and pratha every morning. He gave coffee but we don't drink coffee. I only went to this riad because of 9.0 reviews but I think those reviews are made up. Waste of money none of us enjoyed the stay. Not ever going back to the place. We had to ask for toilet tissues. There was no body wash or shampoo in the bathroom. There was no AC in one room so my son and husband couldn't sleep all night because of heat. They put my 15 and 8 year old on king size bed. 8 year old should have gone small bed in the room. I told owner but he didn't do nothing about it. Please Don't go there. Terrace looked so nice in photos. Its awful.
