Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

LatviaShowers need some improvement. Unfortunately no lockers to store your personal belongings.
Was easy to get there with a taxi, so finding the place was not hard. Had nice roof terrace. For such price was great option.

United StatesThe dorm rooms are extremely small. The beds are uncomfortable. The bathrooms are small. And it is EXTREMELY noisy (it's located on a busy street).
The staff at Jad ZIad are absolutely fantastic. They take the time to tell you about Marrakech, different things to do, etc. Even though it was Ramadan and everyone was fasting, they continued to do a great job keeping the place very clean and being exceptionally helpful and friendly. The breakfast is basic (an egg, local bread, jam, honey, butter, regular bread, and a banana or orange), but sufficient. The terrace upstairs is also a nice place to hang out.

GermanyThere were no lockers and it looked a bit not clean and not renovated in the rooms, especially bathroom and toilets. The carpets in the common area where a bit old.
The personal was very friendly and helpful. During check in you are treated with sweets and traditional tea. The breakfast prepared by receptionist was rich and tasty. The location is close to the centre. There is a common area.

United KingdomNoisy hostel with the door bell ringing at all hours - no useable hangout space in the evening as the staff sleep there. However, very disappointed with this hostel on account of two other things - that they exploited and lied to me. 1. I booked for four nights so I could visit the dessert (3 day 2 night package). I had checked in advance to be told the trip can be arranged through the agency for €80- all inclusive except for lunch (x3). The itinerary was outlined to me. I didn’t unbook the nights I didn’t use, but on arrival asked if that could be done. They told me it couldn’t as it was already paid for thru booking. I didn’t quibble at this. On returning after the tour my bed had been remade and the items I’d left removed. I thought this was odd and asked a guy in the room if my bed had been used - told it had been. I had to ask the hostel to return my items which initially they couldn’t find. So the hostel took my money and no doubt someone else’s for the booking I made. 2. The hostel told me in advance and on booking and paying in person, that the tour was ‘All Inclusive’. This was far from the truth. Of course a trip to the dessert is a great experience and travelling is for sure a privilege not a given right. Parking that aside, you still expect to get what you pay for. The first stop at Ait Benhaddou, a tour guide told us we had to pay to enter the town and also requested money for himself. He also insisted we would need to by a scarf for when in the dessert( we didn’t need)that were sold in the village at an extortionate price. All lunch venues were not a free choice (only roadside restaurant in the vicinity each time) and again priced extortionately. The included ‘hotel’ on the first night had no heating or towels and often no electricity. A basic meal was provided in the evening but any drinks including water, cost extra. On day two a second guide joined the group and again requested money for his service.
It was clean enough

United KingdomThe hostel is very difficult to find, and even the locals struggle to find this hostel. Sometimes, the toilet door didn't lock properly. Sometimes, if you ask the hostel staff for recommendations, they wouldn't know and just say to go to the square, which was a bit frustrating at times. Also, it took them nearly three days to give me my change back, which was a bit annoying. It's not about the money per se but the principle.I had to keep asking for my change, and when it was given, it was under not the exact, so I had to tell them to correct it. This happened to other people at the hostel as well. Top tip just give them the exact amount.
The staff were friendly and nice. The hostel had a good rooftop terrace. It was cleaned daily, which was good. Yusuf made breakfast daily, and it was very nice and filling. The hostel had a good vibe and friendly people staff, and people stayed at this hostel as well. Made some good friends and memories.
