Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThere's nothing not to like but I think the foyer & mats in reception could do with a makeover to create more of an ambience.... but that's all...... rooms were lovely & location is great......in the Medina.......
Staff were very attentive , caring & exceptionally honest..... The owner Majhorab was responsive from the onset - answering my queries & arranging airport transport for us. He ensured his staff were aware of our arrival time & they met us at the medina to walk us in from the taxi ..... such a valuable gesture as I was traveling solo with my young daughter.......he also let us do a later check out......& was there on the day to see us off..... The night manager Mohammed was extremely helpful & attentive - goes over & beyond to make your stay comfortable, giving good tips for the city life & excursions..... offering us teas/ coffees when we returned after a day out & about...... exceptionally hardworking......& has such a good way with guests & children. He has a keen interest in people from different heritage / culture & a broad mindset & views of the World..... we enjoyed our chats with him..... The house keeping girls do an exceptionally good job - 2 sisters appearing to be happily working away.... it was a pleasure to hear their 'chitter - chatter' in the mornings as well as their laughter when doing their job. They make the most amazing crepes & Moroccon delights for breakfast - along with cheese, eggs & fresh bread, croissants..... also fresh orange juice is served plentifully...... Mohsmmod generaly Ofsted breakfast they had prepared - they are very generous & creative with the breakfasts & alow plenty of time to eat......& do not rush you..... We enjoyed the Riad experience & the quietness at night, its location & its decor..... they are rooms are beautifully decorated & recently painted.........plenty of bedding & changes of towels as well as daily room service....... To say they are honest is an understatement statement- they do not push excursions on you....

ItalyThe bathroom was a bit smelly and small
The riad was beautiful and decorated in Moroccan style, situated in the heart of medina, very close to the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and kind. Every morning Mohamed prepared fresh pancakes,Arabic bread and tea for us. And the manager gave us some advice about our stay in Morocco.

GermanyNothing to do with the property, but it’s a bit hard to find so had to deal with “helpers” who wanted money for their “help”.

We had an exceptional stay at this riad. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome, attending to every detail with warmth and professionalism. The riad itself was impeccably clean, with beautifully maintained rooms and common areas that created a tranquil and inviting atmosphere. The location was also ideal, allowing us to easily explore the heart of Marrakech and experience the city’s vibrant culture. It was a truly memorable experience, blending comfort, charm, and attentive service that made us feel right at home.

AustraliaThis riad is right in the centre of the market. You cannot get a better location than this in Marrekech. The rooms are decorated in Morrocan style and have large comfy beds. The staff are welcoming and friendly and a breakfast is served every day.

Mahjoub and his family take good care of you, excellent traditional breakfast each day, a bedroom and bathroom and lounge area downstairs, also right in the Medina, you don't need a posh hotel as you will be discovering the souks of Medina, would definitely arrange airport transfer, taxis not allowed into Medina so you will be met and taken to the Riad

United StatesA little hard to find in the middle of the souk. As we had a window on the side of the street, it was pretty noisy at night.

United KingdomThe decor was a bit tired. This did not bother us and was in sympathy with the look and feel of the old city. Being in the old city meant that yo had to walk from the outskirts to the hotel. On arrival from the airport, this was a surprise and worth knowing that no cars/taxis are allowed in the old city,
We only had a few days in Marrakech so it was great having a hotel, such as this one, based in the old city with all the major sights within easy reach. Staff were very helpful and friendly though their level of English was not very good. Breakfast consisted of a variety of jam, honey marmalade, cheese etc and a selection of breads. The freshly ground coffee was excellent. The rooms were large with a/c and the en suite was fairly large too.

CanadaIt is inside the Medina, daytime is quite noisy if you don’t close the windows, apart from that, the washroom is quite small, there are no shelves, no hanging bars for clothes and toiletries, inside the shower, no shelves to place your shampoo/soap etc. it is inconvenient to have a shower while you have to manage your clothes/towel/body wash etc. every night. In terms of breakfast, they are generous in proving enough carbs, yogurt, laughing cow cheese and condiments, I wish they can provide more protein such as boiled eggs to balance out the nutrition.
The location is good, steps to any shops in the Medina. Staff are friendly. Breakfast are in big portion.
