Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomLoved this small traditional accommodation, in the medina far enough away from the main square so it was quiet but close enough for a nice 10 minute walk to the square. The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve slept in, and Mubarak was a lovely host, warm, friendly and always there greeting you with a smile. As this is a traditional riad, it has all traditional windows and doors which are a little loud opening and closing so be prepared for some slight noise but it wasn’t bad enough to effect your trip.

Riad Laichi is a small riad right in the center with all the traditional Moroccan charm! We were lucky to have the room on the top floor with direct access to the rooftop terrace - this made it very quiet, despite other guests on lower levels, with two windows (this is importing to note, as not all rooms in riads have “real” windows to the outside). The location is perfect, in a very safe neighborhood with plenty of shops and restaurants around on the way towards the medina. The owner was very kind and welcoming, even allowing us to store our big suitcase while we were on a desert excursion.

FranceVery nice hotel, in a convenient location to reach pretty much everywhere around Medina, but at the same time placed in a quiet street (which was important to us). Beds were big and very comfortable, we slept well. The staff were super kind and helpful, we enjoyed our stay very much thanks to them. Definitely recommended for a stay in the city.

Morad was an amazing host. He made our stay pleasant and enjoyable, helping us organizing our activities in Marrakech, and always available to support us. The room at the middle floor was nice and cozy, but the toilet needs few maintenance. The location was very good, since away from the noisy and chaotic center, but still very close to it (10 kin walk to reach the center)

FranceThere is no door within the rooms. Going with friends can be a bit complicated in terms of privacy. The Riad is not that close or far from the Medina (around 15 minutes walking distance)
Morat was nothing but a great person with us! He always checked on us and ensured we had everything we needed. The breakfast he prepared was good; he even sent us some when we needed to leave for the tours early.

CanadaBe aware that all riad buildings are not sound-proof, and mindful and respectful to other guests as well because I had one couple next to my room who made noise till 2am during my stay.
Fantastic location (less hectic from central medina area), closer to grocery markets, cafes, shopping stores, spotlessly clean, well-managed with warm hospitality, great and fresh brekkie… and most importantly Mourad was exceptionally supportive and helpful during the entire stay!!

CanadaMy first room had a few lights that didn't work and the thing that lets you adjust the angle of the showerhead was broken. They only accept cash (euros or dirhams) for paying for things like the airport transfers, dinner, and city tax. I don't think this inherently a bad thing nor uncommon, but I ignorantly assumed I could pay by card and had to be more mindful of how much cash I had on hand. Just something to plan for!
The airport transfer to/from the riad was easy to arrange. The driver contacted me through WhatsApp before I got on my flight to Marrakech, which made it really easy to find him when I arrived at the airport. Morad, who was working there during my stay, was friendly and made me feel well taken care of. He met me and the driver on the main street and guided me to the riad, which may have been trickier to find if I'd been on my own since it didn't have clear signage on the outside. He welcomed me with snacks and tea and made sure my transfer back to the airport was arranged for the right time. I had dinner (€12) both nights of my stay, which I thought was good value for the amount of food I got: salad with bread, tagine with chicken and vegetables, and fruit salad. It was actually so much food that I asked to skip the dessert the second night. Breakfast was an assortment of breads, jams, cheese, and spreads, with tea and orange juice. I was in a rush one of the mornings and Morad packed up a bunch of the bread for me to go. Like another reviewer mentioned, I was asked to move rooms partway through my stay. I actually didn't mind this because the second room was nicer (which they did tell me) and was right next to my first room, but I could see how this might be a hassle for others. It seemed that as some guests checked out, us remaining guests were all shifted to slightly better rooms. I thought the location was great. It's close to several restaurants, currency exchange offices, and grocery stores. It's a walkable distance to the souks and other attractions, while being quieter and less overwhelming than the more central part of the city. The riad was a nice calm place for me to come back to.

United KingdomWe were disappointed that we were not given breakfast at 7am on our departure as promised the night before by the host. However a taxi from the Riad to the airport was booked for us and turned up on time. Also, having the facility of a computer and printer in the Riad would have been helpful instead of our host having to find a place in the Medina which actually provided the service but for a small fee.
We liked everything about our stay. It was conveniently located, peaceful, relaxing with a lovely roof terrace away from the madness of the city.
