Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOur room had a very large balcony with a sofa which really allowed us to spread out. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was quirky and the staff were very good. Breakfast was very good. The location is very good-in the Medina but only a five minute walk to an area to get dropped off by a car or grab a taxi.

United KingdomExcellent location, staff went out of the way to help providing advise, information and booking taxis and helping us with our luggage. The Riad has lots of out door shaded and tucked away areas so there always was some where to sit or lie in the sun. I would definitely recommend the tranquil place away from the busy streets of Marrakesh.

United KingdomI really loved my stay here - the location was good (very central in the medina but easy to find), the staff very friendly and extremely helpful, the rooms were nice and clean, breakfast was good and the riad itself is just also very pretty. I always do a lot of comparing before I book and I was definitely happy with my choice. I also think it is good value for money

United KingdomWe had an amazing time, and the staff were so friendly, especially Abdul, who made our stay exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for him, and he catered for everything we needed. I would definitely stay and book again. Very clean and comfortable. One of my friends found the pillows too hard but was happy enough, not to mention them. I would recommend the app maps.me (it gives you walking routes to your location) it works with no data to locations anywhere. We found main areas OK during the day. However, all the streets in the souk look the same at night when all the shops are closed. Without this app, you can wander around aimlessly looking for the riad.

BrazilAbsolutely nothing.
I can't describe enough how incredible our stay at Riad Le Coq Berbere was. It was not my first time in Morocco, but the experience was unique. As our booking was for four nights, we were offered a free transfer from the airport to the hotel, which turned out to be very useful as our flight arrived late at night. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast throughout our stay and we had the opportunity to try the typical dishes offered during lunch at the Riad. The room and the terrace are absolutely fantastic. But what captivated us most was the attention and care of the whole staff. Everyone is very friendly and their hospitality is outstanding. They couldn't do enough for my mom who has some limitations due to back problems, and even prepared breakfast to be served at our room for her when she wasn't feeling well. Bachir, Abdul, Fatima, Hasan and all the team, thank you for making us feel at home. A warm hug from your friends in Brazil!

United KingdomNothing, it was all amazing!
What a lovely Riad, one of the nicest I have stayed in Marrakech! The staff were really welcoming and the room and facilities were wonderful. Proper Moroccan breakfast, eggs, fresh fruit, absolutely delicious! We also had a Hamman experience which was exceptional. The beds were comfy. Lovely bedding, towels and toiletries provided and the only Riad I have stayed where they provide a kettle! Sadly it was really rainy when we visited so didnt get to experience the roof terrace, but ... next time! Thank you Riad Coq Berbere for a lovely stay!

United KingdomThe only thing that could have been better was to have stayed longer!
This is a delightful place to stay. The building is wonderful and breakfast on the terrace was a joy, even in February. Most important is that the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. The Director, Bachir is charming and goes out of his way to help giving advice on where to go and what to see, organising taxis and generaly making us wecome and comfortable. Next time we visit Marrakech we wll certainly stay at Riad Le Coq Berbère

United KingdomThe bed was very hard and the shower didn't always provide hot water. That said, I was always provided with a hot shower at the end of the day, just not as often as us Westerners like. As for the bed, yes, it was hard but after a full day of sightseeing, it really didn't matter. Aside from those two things, I really couldn't fault the place...it was just superb. The medina/markets are very busy with people but also the smog from motorbikes wasn't particularly nice. I'd strongly recommend a face covering of some kind so you're not breathing in the toxic fumes.
What a fantastic riad to stay in. Authentic, rustic, we could not have chosen a nicer hotel to stay in for our first (and short) visit to Marrakesh. Location was excellent...right in the heart of the medina, yet really quiet. The room itself was of a good size with ample storage for your suitcase and 2 wardrobes for clothes. The bathroom included a bidet and the best towels are comparable to that of a 5 star establishment. The hospitality provided by the staff was exceptional and they really went above and beyond, out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. It was an easy 20-30min walk to almost anywhere including several gardens, palaces and ideal for shopping at the markets as it's right on your doorstep. If you want a beer, there is a bar called S-bar located about 30 minutes walk from the hotel. The rooftop terrace was a lovely spot to relax, with comfortable seating in the shade, cool and quiet. Reverse cycle (split system) air conditioning is provided in each room, ideal for those hot summer days and cooler winter evenings.

United KingdomThe staff at the riad was very very welcoming and super professional – they made us feel right at home! The riad is very conveniently located in the medina so you don't have to walk miles with your suitcases to get to it. The rooms are small but cute; the whole property is very clean. All the people who work there are extremely polite and kind. We had dinner 'in' one evening, looking to escape the hustle and bustle of the medina. The food was absolutely excellent (one of the best meals in Marrakech) and sitting next to the fireplace was an absolute treat. Catching the sunset sitting in the terrace was also wonderful. The breakfasts are abundant and generous. 5/5 stars overall!

United KingdomI liked everything!
A hidden treasure! A magical riad inside the medina with a big, beautiful roof garden and 360° view of the city. Despite being inside the old city it was really quiet. They served a delicious breakfast on the roof. I specifically chose a place with a roof garden and this exceeded all expectations They arranged an airport pickup and then someone took me on foot from the drop off place.
