I can't think of anything. The location was great and we felt very welcome. Breakfast was fantastic and the building was beautiful. Our son enjoyed the mini pool on the patio as well. The air conditioning worked:). The staff was knowledgeable about restaurants and tours. They offer spa services as well.

The personal attention of the entire staff was something that will make our memories of Marrakech stand out. The staff took care of us like family. Hassan greeted us with mint tea and cookies. After a long flight with some lost luggage, his kindness and the kindness of the owner put our our minds at ease and made us feel at home. There was no detail that the hotel could not help us with. I will never stay anywhere else when we are in Marrakech.

I had a week of stay and nothing negative I can point out.

One of the best travel stay experiences I had. A place where you can relax and sink into its Riad’s architecture, history and culture. A great breakfast that started your day with fresh juice and fruits. A team of wonderful staff provided me with a comfortable stay and I will miss each of them. The Riad is well located and can access to most of the iconic places to visit by foot.

The shower: it lacks a door and it was not so easy for us to estabilize the temperature The transfer from the airport was convenient, as there is someone waiting for you and who also shows you the exact locations of the riad from the beginning, but it is a bit overpriced if compared to the taxis (the airport is 7km away) The manager, Bachir, was unfortunately not transparent on most of our interactions (including expenses/dinner, etc), he is probably doing a good administrative job and he speaks Italian, which is a plus in this riad, but the hospitality part should be handled by the great Abdul

The location is really great and convening to explore the medina area The rooftop is very pleasant and spacious The breakfast was very nice The staff - Abdul, Leila, Fatima, Nadia and the other ladies - is absolutely amazing and they were truly warm and accommodating also with our 2 year old -- we were just not so satisfied with the manager, Bachir The massages were good, reasonably priced and convenient located at the riad

The Riad is beautiful: lots of greenery, charming courtyards and a very neat decoration. Located in the heart of the Medina, it is nevertheless very quiet and peaceful, an oasis in the tumult of Marrakech. The breakfast is very good, served on beautiful terraces. Very varied common spaces, each with its charm. To highlight: the efficiency and kindness of the manager Bachir and his collaborators Imad and Abdul, who solved all our needs. They were able to help us to carry our luggage and cabs to transport us when necessary. They also allowed us to leave some luggage during our expedition to the desert, after which we returned to stay at the Riad. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Marrakech.

They seemed to be short-staffed so any time we needed something - breakfast, check in, check out, help getting a porter, we often had to wait a while. It was a little difficult to find.

Our room was amazing - large and well-decorated. The balcony was a lovely place to sit and enjoy the outdoors, although not as nice when people were smoking. The location was great inside the medina. Being tucked away from the main thoroughfare meant it was very quiet at night. We loved having the en suite bathroom.

Wish we could have spent more days there The massage was in my opinion not really worth it, it's not within their expertise I think.

The riad was very well situated within the old town - not accessible by car but a short 5 minute walk from the recommended parking. Be aware parking is more expensive than other places at 150 MAD/2 nights. Near a lot of restaurants, I recommend Cafe Atay. The terrace was huge and filled with beautiful flowers and tables and chairs to relax. We were able to see one of our best sunset on the roof. The breakfast was also very good with some variety to what you always get in Morroco which was nice. Our room was very well decorated, comfortable, clean, and very quiet. It had a large water bottle, cups, and a kettle. The hamman experience was incredible and worth it and Maria was so nice! So cool that this riad has a spa within it.

What a fabulous riad! Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our time there. The rooms were beautiful, comfortable, and clean. The rooftop was my favorite place to relax after the chaos of the medina. Delicious, large breakfast served on the rooftop - a great start to each day. The hammam/massage services were also a nice and affordable treat, and so convenient to have at the riad. Location is perfect - an easy walk to all the major sites.

Lovely Riad in a central but quiet location of the Medina. A wide-range of beautiful outdoor spaces is to be enjoyed throughout the day; from large roof terraces, to planted courtyards, and quiet outdoor seating corners. The facilities included a great hammam spa which was such a treat. Bashir and his staff were extremely helpful with planning and made arrangements for trips and visits. Definitely recommend it and would love to go back.

Can't really think of a single negative point to this place, and I've stayed in many hotels all over the globe.

Le Coq Berbère is not just an oasis of calm in bustling Marrakesh, which I assume all riads are. What makes this one special is first that its two connected patios offer endless cosy corner opportunities to spend time relaxing in a calming environment, from the warm rooftop terrace to the many intermediate level terraces (there are 8 levels of terrace I kid you not), so if you feel the city gets a bit much, just a day here, with perhaps a hammam/massage, is just grand. Second, the rooms and whole riad are very tastefully decorated, which also increases the suitability for just staying in your room or a terrace. Third, the staff are super friendly and helpful. Like so many in Marrakesh, I fell ill with a stomach/intestinal bug, and the helpfulness of the staff was simply amazing. In short, this is not just a great place to spend the night, this is a place worth spending time in in its own right.

The small road that leads to the entrance of the property has rubish on the ground most of the time. This gives a poor impression. Should be changed.

Room lay out with the bathroom in between both sleeping rooms. You’d have to lock both doors to each room to be able to use the bathroom. It’s a riad so I guess there’s not much that can be done to modify this. Not a deal breaker though.

It was awesome to stay in the Medina and that we didn’t have to take a long walk to catch a ride outside of it. Breakfast is very generous and made by a local with freshly squeezed orange juice. Awesome coffee as well. Staff was attentive and pleasant.

Some of the stairwells smelled of cat urine, and some of the upholstery in the common sitting areas was stained and worn looking. Whenever we went to breakfast, we had to wait quite a while before anyone appeared on the terrace to serve the food or clean tables. We often had to call downstairs to get someone's attention. I also didnt like that the curtains in our room were hung so that it was difficult to have them open, making the room very dark.

it was so tranquil! sitting in our room or attached sitting area, all we could hear were the birds, or gentle music coming from the massage room below. the Hammam was lovely! truly a respite from the hustle bustle of the medina.

Beds are quite hard. First breakfast was amazing, omelets, french stick bread, pancakes, fresh fruit, yogurts, next 2 breakfast were not quite the same, had to wait for 1/2 hr, no pancakes, omelets or fresh bread were delivered, had to ask for tea & coffee. That was a little disappointing
