Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomSimply put, the place needs a bit of work done. Not an issue, it is beautiful. But the staff do an awesome job to keep it up. Mattresses, I know it's Morocco, but get a comfy mattress...
Staff were great, particularly cleaning lady, worked like mad. Place was spotless.

RussiaRiad is very well located in the medina close to the one of the gate. And it is absolutely quiet at the same time. Stop of Intercities buses and taxi are not far. Super clean and beautiful. The main treasure of the riad is its manager. What a great person! Intelligent and smart with kind heart, very sensitive to others needs. He made a wonderful tour showing all main sightseeings of Tetuan, brought me to the oldest hamamm in the city, met me after it in the night. As soon as he realized I was on the limited budget, the breakfasts and dinners they cooked for me free. What to wish more? He invited me to the sea side as I like smoking shisha. All for his expenses. We had a great time there. And he speaks freally English, Spanish, French, Arabic. Habibi, I wish you best luck in life. Thank you very much for your great hospitality.

United StatesBathrooms! If you're on the first floor (we were), the only bathroom easily accessible is a tiny one located off the kitchen.
The manager, Mr. Lofti, was fantastically helpful and informative. He bought us fresh goat cheese, took us on a tour of the market (NOT aimed at particular vendors), directed us to a location to change money, and made us the best mint tea in our two weeks in Morocco. Breakfast is not included in the price, but it's very easy to assemble excellent food options from the market for meals and snacks. The riad is both in the heart of the medina and simultaneously a cool, quiet refuge from the heat and hustle bustle of the outside world. In terms of value for money, it's unbeatable.

United StatesWe were expecting kitchen facilities in the apartment. However, the kitchen on first floor was available to use. We did not need to cook anyways, but always like to make our coffee early in the morning.
Good location. Clean room. The very best part was the host, Mr. Lofti. He was the most kind, helpful, and knowledgeable host you could ever ask for. He met us on arrival, and helped us get a taxi in the rain when leaving because we had to catch a train in Tangier. He also took us on a very informative visit to the Kasbah. Mr Lofti, guests are lucky to have you.

Indonesia- there was no private bathroom. The shared bathroom was a bit small in the first floor but still fine. - no wifi
- great host in our entire trip so far. Mr.Lofi communicated in English well and picked us from the Medina gate to the Riad. He also helped us to find the best place to eat seafood in the market. - the location is in the Medina and not so far from the Bab Tut gate.Easy to go anywhere. - we were 3 persons so i slept in the sofa bed. But still very comfy and the Riad itself blew our mind. It was really beautifully decorated.

Jordan- The wifi signal was very poor inside the room and even in the common area, I had to go upstairs to connect. - The toilets had no water "shattaf" to clean oneself after the act.
Very nice and clean traditional house in the very heart of the old town but still quiet day and night. I liked the spacious and well decorated room, and the staff who were too kind and helpful.

United KingdomWi-fi could be better.
Mr Lotfi, the host is an extremely helpful person. I did not hear 'no' from him. In fact the next day I moved to another 'Riad Las Mil y una Noches' where I paid almost 5 times more for a single night, staff hardly replay to your hello, had very limited English and never smile. Mr Lotfi speaks English and it was a pleasure to communicate.

NetherlandsThe busy and overwelming Medina with little proper options to eat vegetarian and gluten-free. Lonely Planet warned and helped us. The bed was pretty hard, but doable..
Wonderfull host that helps you with all you need. We could even use the kitchen for prepping our gluten free breakfast (in Tetaoun that is hard to find). The tranquility of the patio in the middle of the crowded Medina was such a blessing for us sensitive souls 😘. The host even brought us coffee so we could rest.
