Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

A hidden gem in the medina of Tetouan! The Riad is very beautiful, tranquil, and the staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The beds are so comfortable, and the rooms are big and clean and quiet. Breakfast on the roof is amazing! From the Riad you step right into the medina. The host has many great recommendations and goes beyond himself to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Best place to stay in Tetouan!

The place was amazing, a real Riad, well maintained, clean, at the center of the medina but still very quiet, BUT ABOVE ALL it was Loutfy, the hotel manager, which made my staying in Tetouan completely different! He is very kind, helpful, knows everything about the city and really wants you to feel good at home and in the city. He makes you feel that you are a part of the city and not just a tourist. So, go there!

Singapore- Bathroom door was just as good as non-existence with a missing large glass panel missing replaced by an ill-fitted clothe providing zero privacy - Breakfast was supposed to be from 9am to 11am which is quite standard with Moroccan riad, but there was nothing whatsoever at all even when we waited until 9.15am while rushing to catch out ferry. To be fair to Said, he came over immediately after we texted him & tried to pack us some fruits as compensation. We ended had to have quick & chaotic breakfast at a cafe at Petite Socco before rushing to ferry terminal
I guess the only positive thing to stay is the host’s responsiveness prior to our check in with useful information on how to get to the riad from bus station. Said even sent a Whatsapp message detailing how to get to the riad from main streets which we appreciated. Unfortunately things immediately went downhill after we arrived.

GermanyWell, the location near Bab Tut is really bad and smelly. The accommodation is not a riad either, it's a dar al arabiya with an enclosed patio, it's all very dated, the common bathrooms and the kitchen are all very old. My room was at the top and had private bathroom, but no proper sink to wash the hands and teeth, I had to use the sink from the half built kitchen inside the room. There is a cooker, but it was not working either. The views to courtyard are fine, but the views from the 3 windows are are not good, from two of windows you can only see chimneys expelling smoke and the room smelt smoke all the time, which was not good. See my pictures. Unlike in other riads I saw nobody to interact and communicate with, so the is a no go area if you want to meet people. The cleaning lady did not speak French, English or Spanish either.
The only really positive point for this place is Mr. Lotfi, he is very attentive, helpful and managed to get me an affordable/reliable grand to Tangier airport. The bed was comfortable and the place cleaned, but that was it.

United KingdomBEWARE, terrace is not to be used after midnight. While the initial welcome was good, my stay was spoilt by the frantic gesticulation of an owner who was upset about me sitting quietly on the terrace after midnight. There was no noise or disturbance but the owner couldn't be bothered to engage in conversations. I found this rather intimidating and it affected my sleep negatively that night. Curfew was not mentioned in the rules and I never encountered any other Moroccan host to be so disrespectful and dismissive. Strong stench in the room coming from the cupboards. It becomes a problem in a riad setting where there are no real windows apart from those facing the courtyard, which would compromise your privacy if opened. Only a "cupboard" bathroom on the ground floor. The usable one is quite a trek away, on a different floor.
Beautiful riad Large room Small but cozy terrace Conveniently located Generally clean

GermanyLocations: So I did not like the location much, well it is in the center of the old town, but it’s behind a very old market which is not clean at all. I personally did not feel safe in that location, especially when coming back at night. Facilities: rooms are basic, shower heads could be repaired or replaced as they were functioning in a bad way. there were no fans either air conditioners in the room, which made it a struggle to sleep at night.
The house in which the rooms are rented out is a very old authentic Moroccan house, with very nice antique decoration and pleasant mosaic art. The staff “Lotfi” was a very kind and helpful person, he gave me very good tips, and guided me to park the car somewhere safe.

IsraelThe first floor room is too cold and too dark, and too far from the bathroom which is on the second floor. There are many stairs to get up there. There is a shower on the first floor, however, but it is extremely tiny, and has a transparent window facing a public corridor... Upon my morning check out there was nobody to talk to, so I just left the key on the desk and went out. In my opinion, this place is much overrated on Booking.com and does not deserve the very high score it gets there.
I was offered a mint tea on arrival which was very nice. Also the location is very good, near the main gate of the medina.
