Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe love staying at Riad Zayane. The location is perfect for us. We like to feel we are amongst the locals and it's only a 2 minute walk from the taxi drop off. What makes it excellent though is the staff. They are so friendly and welcoming. I've just had my birthday there and they made it special.

United KingdomThe location is okay but not as good as some.
Delightful staff couldn't be more helpful. Riyad is beautiful with a good balance of traditional design and fixtures and modern amenities. Lovely roof terrace and relatively quiet location. They can provide a range of services including airport transfer and evening meals. Breakfast was very nice.

United KingdomEverything was perfect. The host came to meet us and was very helpful. The small air conditioned room had everything we needed and the bathroom was amazing. The host was there for our every request and the food was the best we ate on the trip. I recommend booking an evening meal. The rooftop terrace was perfect for relaxing on the loungers or sitting with a beer or wine and nibbles. The small pool w as perfect for cooling off after a hot day. The area is right at the heart of the traditional part of the medina but s short walk to the souks and square. It was therefore quiet at night.

United Kingdomnothing.
The serenity that Riad Zayane had to offer was just what was required, after a chaotic day in the souks. Of which the Riad is on the edge of one of the most interesting. I stayed in the Africans room. Which made me feel like Humphrey Boggart. What an adventure, thank you to the brilliant staff who helped make the relaxing part of my trip such a pleasure, and for the really hot coffee.

United KingdomThere were no down sides for us as it suited our needs perfectly.
Riad Zayane is a gorgeous property towards the north, inside the walls of the old town of Marrakesh. It is a beautiful place of calm and quiet away from the hustle and bustle going on outside. On warm evenings it’s lovely to sit on the terrace but when it’s cooler, the roof is closed so it stays cosy inside. Jaouad and his colleagues were so kind and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and all requests were met with a smile. All the trips we wanted to go on were easily arranged for us and ran so smoothly and on return we were met with genuine curiosity about our day. We had two evening meals there during our stay and had delicious home cooked tagines both times for our three course meals. Our room was beautifully decorated with a large comfortable bed and a clean en-suite with a gorgeous brass hand basin and wonderful smelling toiletries. We were made to feel like we were staying as guests in a Riad rather than paying tourists which was lovely. We would highly recommend this place for a lovely holiday and look forward to returning in the future.

United KingdomThe location is not the best as you have to cross some pretty dodgy streets to get to the front door. Some locals might bother you to get you to buy things from them including their time to give you directions.
Amazing host who gave us a nice warm welcome and a lot of tips to get around Marrakech and stay safe. Rooms are beautiful and the plunge pool is amazing after walking in the heath the whole day.

United KingdomA bit daunting at first walking through a very busy market place to get to the Riad, but got used to the hustle and bustle when you stepped outside.
Great to have the whole place to ourselves, the staff were so warm and welcoming. The beds we’re comfortable with lovely white cotton bedding, wonderful authentic decor throughout. Breakfast included and was different each morning and so delicious 😋 Evening meals available at a reasonable cost and beautifully cooked. We loved the whole place, such a tranquil oasis. 👍

From four Riads I have been in Marrakech in the past year. This one’s cleaness is exceptionally perfect. It’s polished, smells divine. Bedding feels like a cloud to sleep on, absolute relaxation. Breakfasts on point, sweet with combination of eggs, some veggies. On one morning as it was my mother’s birthday they prepared amazing set up, specials and birthday cake with candles! Would recommend again and again! The hosts are beeeeeyond professional, helpful, nice and caring!

El SalvadorThe location. It is a bit far from the touristic places within the Medina. Some of the market gates close at 8:00 pm and we could not find our way out of the market (past 8:00) to the Riad.
The excellent service and the food. The comfortable rooms, hot showers, air conditioning in the room. The terrace was also very pretty.

PhilippinesI really the interior and the design of the Riad because it is traditional Moroccan style. The staff especially are very nice and friendly and they treat you really well. The food cooked my Samira and Malika are amazing! Will definitely always come back here whenever I am in Marrakech :)

United StatesA small thing, but there was a bit of a bad odor in the bathroom (I assume a sewer issue because it was very very clean, so I know it's not related to cleanliness) but nothing that couldn't be remedied with a diffuser. Also would appreciate protein with breakfast each day - variety is nice but having an egg on the first day was key to getting us through our morning! :) Otherwise perfect and a good location for getting around. Walking distance to almost everything!
We loved our stay here! The staff is WONDERFUL!!! They really made us feel at home and we just adored them. The property is beautiful, really has a magical feel to it. Beautiful rooms, woodwork, and decor. Such a quiet oasis in the chaos of Marrakech. We enjoyed dinner there one night, wine on the terrace, and all of their helpful tips about getting around, etc. The medina is still the Marrakech medina, so be warned that you can't get a car directly to the door, and it's easy to get lost and overwhelmed out there if you are not accustomed to the hustle and bustle, but they'll offer to meet you and arrange transportation for you, so there are definitely options for different levels of comfort. And they have wine, which all Moroccan hotels/riads definitely don't have :) Overall the best Riad experience I've had across Morocco!
