There is nothing I felt strongly enough about to mention as a negative! Yes this is a Riad located in the Medina, so although the room are soundproofed you do occasionally hear a bit of conversation or activity outside your room, or the faint sound of a motorbike passing in the lane. It all adds to the atmosphere of staying in the Medina though. This didn't bother my husband but I'm a light sleeper, so I just wore ear plugs and we both slept brilliantly every night. The room is so calm and safe and comfortable you couldn't fail to get a good night's sleep!

The property felt like a beautifully designed, luxurious and welcoming home. So much character! Breakfast was always good quality and I was obsessed with the freshly squeezed orange juice. The freshly prepared food, wine and cocktails we ordered at other times was also excellent quality. We were blown away by the kindness, personal service and hospitality shown by the whole team - they are all so lovely! We felt they treated us like good friends from the start, always recognising us and asking about our day, answering the door with a smile, offering more coffee at breakfast, helping with arrangements, etc. The pool area and the rooftop sun terrace were both amazing on the hot days we experienced. I swam in the pool every day. It's heated but still refreshing. The bed and beautiful bedding were so comfortable, and in fact all of the furniture throughout the property was beautifully designed, comfortable and good quality.

They even offered the laundry service as a complimentary gesture, which was such a thoughtful and generous surprise! The location is perfect! Unlike most riads that are usually tucked away in narrow alleys and require a long walk, this one is much more convenient and better than any other riad I’ve stayed in !

The shower situation was a little difficult. The water kept running out the shower on to the floor no matter what I did. Also, the room was never warm even with the heater turned up.

Our particular rooms bathroom - the shower was not in the nicest of condition- the tiling was cracked and missing. There wasn’t enough light. And I didn’t like that I had to walk across the 3 levels looking for a staff member to ask if they had a two pin adapter as ours wasn’t working.

Beautiful traditional Riad renovated with high taste. Very friendly staff. Location is fascinating. I loved the plants! Very instagram-able!

Great central location. Rooms were tastefully designed and appointed; luxurious without feeling gaudy. The building itself was so beautiful and well-maintained. It felt like an amazing home away from home. Most importantly, all of the staff were eager to please and very professional, giving special attention to each detail to make the experience incredible for us. Ismail in particular went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had an amazing time in Marrakesh. We especially appreciated how the entire staff gave us personal attention and many wonderful recommendations for everything we wanted to do in Marrakesh! It felt like a five star hotel, but even better because of the charm and character of the Riad, and exceptional hospitality of the entire staff. We will definitely be coming back!

We couldn’t fault our stay at Sakkan- beautiful riad in the heart of Marrakech medina. Our room was lovely and spacious, we loved the breakfasts on the terrace and relaxing on the rooftop after a morning exploring the medina.

Beautiful Riad, very stylish and lots of lovely places to chill out. Staff were all super lovely and helpful. The location was perfect for accessing the souks and restaurants.

Every inch of the property was beautiful. Staff was attentive, kind and friendly. Service was exceptional from the moment you arrive to check in, up until your departure. Breakfast on the rooftop as you listen to the birds chirp and the bells ring. The pool is probably the best part, and made me not want to leave. You NEED to book a stay at the stunning Riad Sakkan.

The breakfast was delicious. Situated on a beautiful roof top surrounded by the sounds of Marrakesh waking up bathed in sunshine. The staff were warm and friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The small details in creating a well thought out and beautifully designed space adds another dimension. The coffee was perfect and the breakfast was great. The rooms are unique.The pool a nice extra.There are places to go and drink in the Marrakesh atmosphere and watch the sunset and sun rise. We really appreciated the owners interest in enhancing our experience and she offered us excellent advice on the best places to see, that we may otherwise have missed out on

The property itself is gorgeous and nestled away from all the hustle and bustle. Ali was exceptional and the entire staff is simply superb. The owner gave us great recommendations for the rest of our trip. The attention to detail, decor, food and not to forget the beds which were heavenly. A definite must if you are going to Marrakech!
