We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

PortugalThe host! And the fact i realized i had to share, after I'd stayed there before only after i asked specifically "is this a private room I'll be getting?" Which was answered in the affirmative. The advertising was either terrible english, but considering my treatment by the hostess, I'd say deliberately ambiguous multi-listed double booking scam. I'm not someone who doesn't stand up for myself, so immediately pulled her up on this. The dialogue showed me she is crazy.
I like the beds. The price would've been great if they had communicated properly, be careful; it was and may be again advertised as a quadruple room. Instead of dorm as it is now. The shower was very welcome

United StatesInconvénient location; beds extremely hard and uncomfortable; only one bathroom for 8-10 people and it was dirty; lack of kitchen access; host was rude, distracted and in hurry; this is a 3-bedroom apartment/flat with 2 people in each bedroom and 4 people crammed into 2 bunk beds in the living room/salon. Wifi wasn’t great and for some reason my laptop wouldn’t connect.

Maya was helpful. Stay was better than a hostel with similar set up. Internet was good. Each bunkbed had its own charging point. Beds aren’t moving/shaking when used as found in most hostels. Would definitely recommend it if you are used to or love to stay in a hostel kind of feel but not as busy.

United KingdomWifi is weak if the place is near capacity and a fan would be good in the dorm area as although it is not particularly hot for Moroccans it is still close to 30 c in October. Traffic noise persistent but this is just a fact of life almost everywhere in Tangier.
Maya and her mother become like family. Maya's mother is a gem! Welcoming, humorous and great company. If staying for a long period it becomes more like a homestay. Great rooftop views and no one up there. Kitchen can be used too and despite there being only one bathroom you never have to wait too long. Very clean.
