Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomOn arrival we had our week planned out by staff which felt a bit overwhelming. It was worth looking online as there was a price difference from what we were quoted by the raid and what we paid for via getyourguide.
Simple and pleasant. Basic accommodation that we used as a base for our merrakesh adventure. We had a meal on our first night that was lovely. Mint tea was plentiful and the rooftop was gorgeous to sit up watching the sunset.

United Kingdom- The hotel tells you a lie that their card machine is broken and you have to pay in cash. The money was supposed to be taken out of the account via Booking so this has nothing to do with a card machine. Furthermore, reviews go back to September 2022 that the card machine is ‘broken’ so it’s clear that they are lying. Just tell your guests in advance that it’s cash only. - Our room, number 6, was the only room without shutters and only had thin curtain which flooded the room with light. We complained about this. One member of staff came up to the room and was very unprofessional and patronising in the way he spoke to me. He also brought up the unrelated issue of me complaining to Booking that they wanted cash only which was very uncomfortable as that’s not the issue we’re discussing in that time. - We then got accosted one day aggressively by a member of staff who demanded immediate cash payment. We stayed for 4 nights and didn’t realise they wanted it paying on the first day. A very uncomfortable situation that has never happened before. - When we paid in cash, they were very unwilling to give a receipt. It took almost 45 mins of going back and forth before they finally signed the invoice. - The rooms are very dark.
The roof terrace is nice. The staff member who brings you breakfast was very friendly.

SingaporeThe suite we got was really dark, the lights were so dim, and the A/C just had one default setting. The riad was located in a dodgy-looking alley. We didn’t feel like going out at night because it felt unsafe to walk back so late. Taxis don’t really drop you near the riad. They did offer a transfer for 25 euros which was a rip-off so we just excluded that from our options. Food is not readily available, unlike room service in hotels. You have to let them know hours in advance if you would like to order so if you are already hungry you will have to wait a while. The duvets didn’t have a cover. Had to pay cash during check-in. We weren’t informed so we had to use cash that was meant for spending elsewhere. Breakfast was okay. All bread and no protein. The fresh orange juice was awesome though. Probably an addition of eggs or any breakfast meat would go a long way.
The riad gave us an authentic feel of Moroccan hospitality and architecture. The food was great! We especially loved the Chicken and Olive Tagine partnered with fresh orange juice. Love the hosts, especially Jamal. He would have a chat with us once in a while during our stay. When they knew we were going for a tour, Jamal prepared breakfast for us earlier than usual. Love the tilework in the bathroom. It’s quite spacious. Wifi was great.

BelgiumTo start, when we arrived, they immediately asked us to pay in cash, even before seeing our room. They did not give us the privacy and the space we needed to check our booking and our bank account, despite specifying we were feeling rushed. Unfortunately our room was on the ground floor, just in front of the reception, and the sound insolation was not good. We could hear people talking in the lobby very well. We did not feel we had much privacy in our room. It would have been nice to have breakfast served on the terrasse instead of the lobby. The bed was a bit hard. The touristic area is a good 20min walk. for some, the area can be considered unsettling however we did not feel unsafe (be aware of a commun problem in Morocco where locals say a road is closed while it is not, so just ignore them) 20 euros per person for diner in Morocco is very expensive, we did not choose that option
we stayed 2 nights in the riad The room was clean and beautifully decorated. The terrasse was very nice, comfortable and the colors were beautiful The staff printed our boarding passes and arranged a confortable taxi very early in the morning to get to the airport They agreed to serve us breakfast 30min earlier so that we could be on time for a visit. After our second night they also packed breakfast for us to take on the plane

PolandDETAILS. In this place everything is about details. I guess 5 years ago riad looked incredibly like in pictures. Now it doesn't. Towels and bedclothes are grey, not white. Pillows on the terrace are old, dirty and ripped. There is no space with poufs and rug, missing pillows on chairs, no sunbeds as in pictures. Breakfast is poor, with the smallest yoghurt you can buy in Morocco and not fresh traditional Moroccan baking. Smell from bathroom was really bad. We also had ants in our room (which is not SOMETHING in this climate but still...). Location is really bad, in not welcoming area of old medina. It's super hard experience to reach more touristic areas due to guys trying to stop you all the time and convincing that this way is closed/not allowed/they will take you wherever you want (NEVER AGREE FOR THAT). I lived in Morocco, visited Marrakech many times but never experienced this amount of fake "touristic guides" as there. It would be so easy to improve the experience in the riad. Care of new towels and bedclothes, arrange terrace as in pictures or publish pictures showing current state. And serve fresh, generous breakfast as in Moroccan home. Cooking fresh 7archa every day is not a big deal and makes guests feeling welcome.
Staff was extremely nice and helpful. Guys working there are the best part of experience. They helped with everything we asked for and are just super nice people. Room was cleaned every day. When we asked for some eggs for breakfast we got it without any problem. Nice terrace and little pool to spend some time in riad. Air conditioning working very well. You can eat your breakfast in the building or on the terrace. Riad offers transport to the airport in reasonable price.

Canadabreakfast is a little slim with the coffee being lukewarm once it made it's way up from the kitchen in a cup-a bit of a language barrier resulting in a few inconveniences
Nice rooftop terrace to lounge on-it's inside the Medina walls and gives you an authentic feeling of what it's like to live like a native there-google maps was working great to get us to where we wanted to go and back-Faysaal was always cheerful

PortugalWhere do we start? Firstly the Riad was with some constructions work and didn’t let us know - so the whole place was full of dust, not clean at all and with a lot of noises, nothing like the pictures. We didn’t get to use the pool for that reason. Secondly, the Riad give you 0 privacy because you can hear everything from the whole Riad and the doors and windows from our room didn’t closed properly. Due to the construction works the terrasse was also not so clean and was not ready to receive costumers. The location was also not ok in the GPS/google maps: we had to ask a nice lady in the street who asked to some locals so that we didn’t had to pay to those who are waiting for sinto get lost in the Medina and then ask us for some money. When we said to the staff that the location was not ok, they didn’t “agreed”and said that it was because they had another door on another stress, hence the location in the gps. In the end of our stay they ask us to rate the Riad with 10 due to the fact that they need good reviews - this is why we felt tricked, since when we first saw the rating in booking we thought it was a good Riad, they must ask this to all costumers so that the reviews get scammed. It was not a good experience and it didn’t felt like a good welcoming to us in Marrakech at all.
We met some very nice Staff, who helped us out when we needed to buy some medicines, although one of the staff tried to negotiate with us the price of the transfer and then got upset because we didn’t agreed with the price.

United KingdomOur room was very small and looked a bit like a dungeon. There were no proper locks on doors and there was construction going on right next to us all day long, which was disruptive. The staff did apologise, but ultimately it wasn’t an ideal experience.
This is a nice riad in a very good location. The staff were helpful, and even got us SIM cards and charged them up with data. The breakfast was fab as well.
