it was overpriced, as the whole floor had only 1 bathroom for everybody, there's no front desk so I couldn't get any information I needed at the moment, the wifi never worked during my stay

Only one bathroom for everyone so had to wait longer than in other hostels/guest houses. Wifi sometimes cut out for an hour or two.

Really nice, great AC. Clean an tidy, the girl from the staff is nice and helpful. Location is middle of old town Kotor, which is incredibly beautiful.

They are making a second one just fyi, but there is only one bathroom/shower for all 20 people in the dorms. Surprisingly wasn't as bad as you might expect, was quite clean, it's a nice bathroom and people were quite respectful that there was only one bathroom and tried to be quick, no one was taking an hour or anything, but occasionally there was a bit of a queue during peak times. Also would've been nice to have a plug/socket for each bed to charge our things but there were a few in the room that we shared. It's one of those balkan hostels where it was somebody's house, converted into a hostel so these kinds of set-ups are common.

This was one of the best hostels I've stayed in for a long time. Nadja was so lovely and welcoming, really friendly and made me feel at home and welcome, happy to answer any questions I had and did what she could to make my stay wonderful. Beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, privacy curtains, very solid bunk beds, best night of sleep I've had in a while! Provided towels were appreciated, dorm has great air conditioning. Location is right in the old town! Key is the size of the hostel and the layout of the social area. If you're a solo traveller who wants to meet people I found it so easy to make new friends here, thanks to the small number of people in the dorm rooms (total 20 people I think?) and the cosy size of the social terrace space which facilitates community and conversation. Nothing like other hostels with too big common areas where everybody hides in the corners and keeps to themselves 😂 Made fast friends and went on adventures on all the days I was here.

there's only one bathroom for more or less 12-14 people. sometimes you need to wait but it's manageable.

The location was PERFECT, staff were incredibly helpful and kind (I was late checking in and they were amazing in accommodating me), and the guest house itself has everything you need (kitchen, terrace with amazing views, very comfy beds with curtains).

Great location in the middle of Kotor Old Town. Was met by Nadja who led me to the hostel (couldn’t find it in maps), she was friendly and very helpful! The 10 bed shared room came with lockers under each bunk and I had a bed right by a wall socket which was handy

there were no charging points in the upstairs bedroom, so i had to charge everything at the point above the hob in the kitchen which was a pain. Also there is no direct air conditioning in the upstairs room, so the top bunk was exceptionally hot. too hot, i found it difficult to sleep

Internet is nonexistent. Only one bathroom for the dorms. Maybe they have more for private rooms but when I asked I was told that was the only one.

The bedroom was spacious and the bed very big with curtains for privacy. Nadja was very nice from beginning to end.

Only WIFI and internet was poor I used my own internet so wasnt in need. But maybe for someone it will be problem

I had an excellent stay at Majka Guest House in Koto. The experience was nothing short of exceptional. The location is perfect, nestled in a charming area that is both peaceful and convenient. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms were spotless and well-maintained, providing a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I was particularly impressed with the amenities, which included everything I needed for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. The common areas were inviting and offered a great space to relax and meet other travelers. Overall, Majka Guest House exceeded my expectations in every way. The WI FI sign was very very weak. There was only one person in charge there and works many hours. Only 2 sockets for 10 people.

Honestly one of the worst place i ever stayed during 7 months of travelling. Save yourself from agony, DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE.!! One washroom for 12+ guests? Is that even legal? Difficult place to find Privacy curtain is half done. No power plugs in wall of beds. List goes on.

The wifi signal did not reach the room, I had to sit in the kitchen to use the internet. All the rooms were very cold, there was no heating system, I was literally freezing. Normally, if other hostel owners in other countries or Montenegro register you for a city tax, they do not do it here, you have to go and pay it yourself (at least it could have been said in advance)

Clean, quiet, good location. You will receive it as you see in the photos.The owner of the hostel is a nice person, if there is a problem she responds immediately.

- Very loud music outside until 1am - The pillow was a bit smelly - Wifi connection was unstable - I was just only one customer and there were no staff through the night, I was anxious

One downside I noticed was that the Wi-Fi did not work very well in the shared room, which can be an inconvenience for those who need to connect frequently. Despite this, the quality of the stay outweighed this minor issue.

During my stay at Majka Guest House in Kotor, I had a very positive experience. The location is excellent, situated in the heart of the historic center, which made it easy to access the city's main attractions. Additionally, the environment was quiet, allowing for a pleasant rest. The bathroom was huge and always very clean, which certainly contributed to my satisfaction during the stay. The staff was extremely attentive, always ready to help and provide useful information, making the experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great experience in a cozy and comfortable environment. I recommend Majka Guest House to anyone looking for a comfortable and central experience in Kotor.
