The rooms had very bad and nasty smoking smell, dispite we requested non-smoking rooms. I now found many google reviews or discussion forum mention this big problem, since years ago. At least I can assure you, hasn't been improved. We travelled with kids and elder parents, and didn't expect we spent the luxury price for such poor rooms. We came down to the reception immediately and they helped to swap one room for us, however, bad smell still. We couldn't stay in the room for too long and told the receptionist that they have to swap three non-odor rooms for us, as a few of us started getting a headache. At the end, almost around mid-nights, we eventually settled in three clean air rooms (however the smell in the rooms were still not fresh, you can smell the anti-odor chemical they use). This was part of our family tour from Sydney to Shanghai, then Suzhou, Hanzhou, Macau, Zhuhai, and Xiamen, before flying back to Sydney. The Venetian was the most expensive yet worst rooms for this trip, I would honestly recommend traveller do not book for this hotel, you can come here for touring, it's free entry, indeed we saw many tourists in the hotel during our stay. And if you have to stay in this hotel, please ask for rooms in the North Wing. It is our experience that all the rooms they initially gave us were in the South Wing, and all the better rooms we moved to were in the North Wing of the hotel.

It is a beautiful building, a bit old (compared to Galaxy hotel nearby which I was regrated I didn't book Galaxy before. it was chearper than Venetian too). Close to other casino hotels and easy travel to amenities nearby. But hey, Macau is tiny city and it was rather easy travelling between different places.

It’s too giant and confusing, while the staff often were unhelpful. We asked for directions to the spa and one attendant said “I have no idea!” It was around the corner, in fact. We grabbed a meal in the food court and it was bad, while a lot of the other restaurants were unappealing. Many guests were poorly behaved for such an expensive place. Wish we had stayed at the Londoner instead.

It’s a giant complex, so there are lots of restaurants, shops, and a nice spa.

Black mold

The bathtub full of black mold, including inside of the shower head so the water are with mold, also on elevator smells like mold. The room was big and comfortable, nice view , most of the stuff very nice. Location great.

Renovation work is going on on the floor where I stayed. The paint smell is hazardous to health and is disturbing. The hotel should not put guests on any floors where renovation work is in progress.

The room is big. The property is beautiful. The staff is helpful and friendly.

The hotel was extremely disappointing. Checked in at 5pm to be told that all the king rooms (room I booked) were not available and I could “try again tomorrow if I wanted to”, despite usual check in time being after 3pm. In order to get a room for the night, I ended up needing accept a downgraded room, albeit paying the same price, and my room wasn’t ready for another two hours.. the hotel room itself smelt of cigarettes despite being a non smoking room..

The decor within the shopping complex was nice.

There is no potter service to help to unload our luggage at the hotel but they have the service to load into the bus. No extended checkout is given even though it was a Tuesday which is far from busy. No breakfast included.

The hotel staff did not smile at all/no idea of welcoming guests. Long queues at check in. No where to sit in the lobby - a few hard benches. Only Chinese restaurants.

felt like a scam. way overpriced. "suites" is a joke. large yes but not remotely a 5 star experience. cheap hotel dressed up ptetending to be ok. . even just getting around the hotel casino and mall totally frustrating with wrong directions from maps and staff though most somewhat pleasant

Everything was awful. 1. The hotel is old. There is no soul in the hotel, it is a mass-produced business with a low level of service. 2. Overcrowded: people are everywhere, crowds of people, like on City Day in the central square. 3. Labyrinth, you won't even be able to find breakfast, you'll spend hours walking hungry looking for a cafe. 4. disgusting casino staff - you won't even be offered water, the dealer can raise his voice, forget about politeness - the staff is just awful! 5. The rooms have the cheapest soaps and shampoos, it stinks of cigarettes and the view from your window will be of a rotten swamp with a construction site!

As well as being very confusing to get around, we were unaware that there was no alcohol inside the casino. We have been to many casinos around the world, and alcohol and food were readily available. Even hard to get alcohol with a lack of bars.

We requested a non-smoking room but the room we received smelled strongly of cigarette smoke + showers were under maintained (water pressure was low and the shower hose was really old and falling apart)

A massive commercial development that will keep you busy! The mall alone is enough to keep you busy for at least 2 days and they have the famed Lord Stow's Bakery for delicious egg tarts. TeamLab Supernature is also not far from the hotel area and is worth a trip. Of course, if you're a gambler, you're in gambling heaven as well with the Cotai Strip and a variety of casinos at your doorstep.
