Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe smell of sewage in the bathroom was dreadful, especially in the mornings. The restaurant was disappointing, the breakfast looked unappetising & vastly over priced at 20 euros. We only ate one supper in the restaurant, food was awful & again vastly overpriced. We were turned away on the 14th even though we were resident. Willy was quite rude.
The bed was large & very comfortable. Air conditioning efficient & quiet. Nice balcony with chairs. Large fluffy towels. Large shower & lots of hot water.

United KingdomThe smell of sewage in the bathroom in the morning was dreadful even though we left the light/fan on all night. One staff member ( Willy ) was very sharp with me when I enquired about borrowing a book. The breakfast at 20 euros was overpriced & looked awful, we only had coffee. We only ate in the hotel restaurant once, the food was dreadful & vastly overpriced. My pork fillet was tough as was my husbands duck. our friends prawn was not cooked properly. The wine waiter dripped red wine all down the glass which ended up on my husbands shirt. The bar staff in the pool bar were slow & totally inefficient. .
The hotel was clean & nicely decorated. The garden & pool area were lovely as was the pool bar. lovely large comfy bed & nice balcony. The air conditioning was efficient & quiet. One staff member ( Rachel ? ) was especially nice

United KingdomI didn't like having the view on a pile of rubbish from my room the entire stay. I didn't like the many wear and tears throughout the bedroom/bathroom. As it is a 4 stars hotel everything should be on point. There were 3 big black dots on the TV, a little annoying.
I liked the location, the decor, the room, the swimming pool, the staff, and the breakfast. The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. The entire hotel was clean and comfortable in general. Loads of choices at the breakfast bar.

FranceBreakfast food options could be better. Staff in the restaurant are a bit jumpy and impatient. The hotel should consider adding additional service time for dinner as they are always full. Mosquitoes in the room, they should consider adding something in the rooms for this.
The atmosphere at the hotel is good. They regularly organise entertainment for guests. Staff in the main hotel are friendly. Nice pool. Room was clean

CanadaThis place was perfect. No complaints at all.
Amazing pool and pool bar. Nice and clean with beautiful decor and friendly staff. Excellent location short easy walk from Anse Mitan Beach and to the dock where the ferry takes you into Fort de France and for other excursions. Street parking was easy for us every night. Lots of shops and restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Breakfast was great too. The resort was quiet during the day and relaxing. There was some live music/acoustic on the Friday night but it was quiet well before 10. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. We were married in Martinique at a nearby beach and our florist couldn't get her delivery truck to the hotel due to a road closure so the staff let her bring boxes of flowers and build the flower arches at the hotel. I really appreciate them.

United StatesThe pool was under construction for refurbishment beginning two days before our arrival. Originally it was not to start until after we departed.
La Pagerie is a beautiful garden hotel located in an old creole village. The hotel staff were fantastic with us not speaking french and spoke english with us. Also, we were able to walk everywhere once we arrived at the hotel.

United KingdomThere was not enough staff. We went to the bar to order a cocktail. There was only one barman and he told us he had to prepare all the drinks for the restaurant before doing ours. Also because of a lack of staff the lobby was full of dirty glasses which had not been cleared away. The staff were ok but not super helpful. When I arrived to check-in there was no one on reception and I was just standing there waiting and waiting. There were other members of staff chatting at the bar but they ignored me and did not go to find the check in staff. The parking arrangements are chaotic to say the least only a few parking spaces for a large hotel
It had a nice pool and pool bar and a cool swim up bar. The room was comfortable and the location was excellent.
